Beschreibung

I’m. Zoe, a Speech Language Therapist working across rural Southland for the last 7 years right at the bottom of New Zealand. I have always enjoyed helping others and a big passion of mine is ensuring everyone has access to commmunication no matter who or where they are.

I’m Joe and I’m a chef, I have been learning the craft over the last 11 years which has given me the opportunity to visit and work in some cool places including the UK, Europe and other various places in NZ. I love to learn new skills and share my passion with others. I’ve spent the last 5 years in a successful cafe business with 2 others, however, now I’m ready to branch out on my own. Because of this, I want to gain further knowledge and valuable experiences from different corners of the world.

When we’re not working, we enjoy working on projects around the house including the “oopsie” garden where we take turns “accidentally” bring home plants of various natures (be it edible, indoor, etc.,) and learn how to look after them together. Our goal is to have a sustainable garden that we can not only share with family and friends, but also utilise when Joe starts his own business.

We also have a loveable 3 year old German shepherd X Rottweiler called Dude who is our goofball we enjoy taking out on road trips.

Growing up, we hosted a lot of international students and have been able to reconnect as my parents are now hosting students again. We have been fortunate enough to complete some cultural exchanges which have allowed us to see not only the city life but also enjoy the more rural or home lives. However, the travel bug never leaves.

I am a quick learner and if I don’t know how to do something, I will often research it and try as well as acknowledge when I need help. I am grateful to my grandparents and parents for ensuring my cleaning skills are meticulous and that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m quite tech savvy but enjoy the opportunity to shut off and have a break from screens.
