Ciao tutti
I am so excited to visit Italy again during springtime. I've spent the past year at my home in Belgium, 6 months longer than planned, because I spontaneously accepted a job at a boarding school for girls. Supporting these teens has been highly rewarding, yet I cannot deny the travel bug that is calling me to expand my world and welcome new experiences.
I would describe myself as a friendly and cheerful young lady who loves to live, love and laugh. I enjoy hearty laughter, the sun on my face, the grass beneath my bare feet, making others feel good, a caring planet, deep conversations, board games, singing, gentle kindness, cuddly cats, working with wood, slow living, strangers who become friends, (head) massages, playful movement, tending the (vegetable) garden, reading romantic novels, the support of someone who kindly pushes me out of my comfort zone, exploring arts and crafts, swimming (preferably naked, preferably in a lake), solving (crossword) puzzles and riddles, exploring new not-too-crowded places, quality time with loved ones, (chocolate) ice cream, reflecting on life, wandering off the beaten track, writing on paper, watching the stars, non-alcoholic dance parties, being offline, making someone smile, ...
I hope to find a Workaway from mid-March up until June with people who match this energy. I am very much looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends!
Much love and gratitude ♡

I've been learning Italian on Duolingo for some time now, but would love to learn the language in real life, so any help with that is highly appreciated. I am open to teaching English.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Since 1,5 years now, I've been working as a masseuse. I offer gentle classical and lomi lomi massages, and aside from the joy of bringing soothing touch to people, I actually really enjoy creating a cosy and safe container for people to slow down, unwind and relax.
I'm also a skilled study coach for teenagers. This is what I call a positive challenge: to figure out what they are struggling with and what could possibly help them move forward with confidence. I'm someone who is quite good at creative problem solving, a useful skill in this kind of setting.
When my social battery isn't drained yet, I am a good listener. My sensitive personality traits enable me to quickly notice when something or someone feels off. I will always strive towards harmony and balance, both within myself, a space or a group of people.
I enjoy to have an overview of things, help to structurize chaos, make lists and draw schemes. I'm a good organiser.
I have experience with carpentry, DIY and painting from previous Workaways. I enjoy building and creating things. Painting (walls, fences, cabins etc) is an enormously soothing task I can put my great attention to detail to use.
I also have experience in gardening, farming and plant care through the many ecological, sustainable or farmbased Workaways I've taken part in. I enjoy working outdoors and taking care of plants, animals or people. I have a heart for both the earth and people ♡

I have to return to Belgium end of May. (I might come back after, but I will decide closer to date.)
Due to chronic pain, I am not a morning person. I enjoy waking up slowly, giving my body the chance to move from stillness to action at its own pace. I also need to carefully mix and match physical activities with rest or activities which are less straining on the body. Variety is key. Lucky for me, my interests are widely spread.
I recently picked up paddle tennis and as I really enjoy the sport it would be a bonus to get to play it in Italy as well.
Another sport I would really like to try is wing foiling! Not sure my physical body is up for the challenge, but I sure as hell would like to try!
All in all I am a big advocate of living up to one's greatest potential. For me that means being able to use my gifts and talents in order to create a bit more beauty in this world, to be in an environment where I can be my truest self and to have the opportunity to spread love, give hope and bring joy.
I am so excited to continue my journey looking for like-minded people to share life with, pursue dreams with and to grow together ❤

I almost forgot to write a feedback because of the simple fact that these three months didn't feel like a workaway at all...

First of all, the area is b-e-a-utiful! I loved the walks to the cosy town of Corris, along the forest or the river.
