  Green fingers and handy hands needed. Do you fancy learning how to cut grass with a scythe? Can you tame a wild-grown area and turn it into a productive veggie patch?
  
  I'm in the middle of a complete renovation, ecologically and respecting ancient building styles. This is a great project, and I´m happy to share the knowledge and skills it brought me. While I am renovating, the garden is growing wild! The outside of the barn needs a fresh coat of paint, and that project of an outdoor cooking place is also begging me to be done... Living by myself and my cats offers me freedom as a lifestyle, but limits me to get everything done at the same time. Luckily there is WORKAWAY! After volunteering throughout my travel-life, I became a host several years ago. With only great experiences so far!
  
  I´ve been traveling for the majority of the past 20 years, to interesting places in the world, and I´m happy to share a story or two. Exactly that: sharing... this means that I´d love to receive some input from you too! Remarkable habits in your tribe, unique experiences that I will never get the chance to live, secret recepies from your greatgrandmother or simply a trick that you want to teach your fellow volunteers ... the floor is yours! The Workaway-way really is all about that: sharing and creating a wonderful network based on respect and diversity.

  I welcome anyone who's willing to pull up their sleeves, regardless of age, sex, religion, or food preference (but preferably non-smokers). People in a wheelchair or with limited physical capacity can access the house, but will face a little challenge getting to the bathroom which is upstairs. Currently there are no decent interior walls, but lots of space to pitch a tent if you're keen on your privacy. If you're traveling with a small camper van, there's parking space too. NOTE that I can and will provide all the camping or glamping equipment, if you prefer that over sleeping indoors. Are you attached to your own tent and stuff? No worries, bring it along and pitch your home away from home, right in the garden :)

  I live in the countryside. It's easy to reach, but not close to public transportation. There's no television but a sky full of stars at night. A fire place in the garden, clean air and space. No shops at walking distance, but tracks to go for a walk or bicycle ride, rock climbing areas just around the corner, the coast at a 40 minutes' drive with the Mont St Michel as a highlight in the area.

  Please only contact me when your plans are clear. No offense to the ´go with the flow´mentality - I practice it too - but consider that I decline other volunteers if you agree to come to my place. It would be a pity for all of us if you decide to no show up after making agreements. Unfortunately this happens regularly - hence my remark.

  With many bags fulls of stories to tell about my numerous travels, there will never be a silent moment around the camp fire, or in front of the wood burner. Vice versa, I am very curious to hear about your experiences too!

  Handy hands are welcome! Help with simple building, easy going. If you're a woodworker/craftsman you'd be very welcome!
  Are you up for gardening? Pruning is on, as well as preparations of several vegetable patches.

  Unterkunft

  Shared bathroom, sleeping in the house or barn or tents (all material provided). The nights are silent and dark, the skies full of stars!

  Was noch ...

  I'm not living with the clock but you can expect to be busy for about 2-3 hrs in the morning and 2-3 hrs in the afternoon... more or less. Weekends are off - whichever 2 days you decide to be weekend. On the days that we're 'working' I provide food and basic drinks - I'd be happy to share the kitchen: you're welcome to show off with your chef's special recipes or join in experimental cooking dishes with local products.
  There're plenty of footpaths/mountainbike/motorbike trails straight from the doorstep, including the 'voie verte'. The coast is about 40' drive, with le Mont St Michel waiting for you to visit, as well as the D-day beaches.
  Nice old and characteristic medieval villages around - it'd be great to have your own transportation to discover them!

  Small vans can access the property. I've lived in vans for years myself as well! No dirt water dump or emptying chemical toilet fluids (it'll kill the septic tank).

  If you wish to bring pets, let's discuss - I live with 3 cats. My terrain is not fenced and I'd love the local wildlife to stay around.
