I, Verena, am a traveling artist who has spent the past few years exploring the world, searching for that special place that truly feels like home. Along the way, I’ve fallen in love with Jake, and simple living — surrounded by nature, animals, and kind people. I practice yoga regularly, enjoy cooking colorful vegan meals, and find inspiration in every sunrise, sound, and landscape I encounter. My dream is to one day settle down in a peaceful (warm) spot where I can live sustainably, have a big garden, create art and host my own workaway — a space for creativity, connection, and shared inspiration.

Jake is motivated by nature and learning, sustainability and conservation, and being active and kind is vital to his lifestyle. He strives to live a positive life and encourage others around him to enjoy their lives and be in tune with their community and their surroundings. Enjoys science and deep conversations (like Verena), counter culture and doing things differently than the normal 9-5er. He has worked in many different jobs and has come to realize he is better off not looking at a screen every day. Tell him a joke and maybe he'll bake you some focaccia or play you a mediocre jig on the harmonica.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both love working with our hands and learning new things. Cooking fresh, colorful meals is something we really enjoy — especially when we can use local ingredients and share good food with others. We care deeply about animals and nature, and we’re always happy to help with anything related to their care or outdoor projects.
We both speak English and Spanish fluently, and Verena also speaks German (Jake’s still working on that one 😉).
Jake has a background in education, teaching, and public speaking. He’s also experienced in mapping, sales, customer service, photography, and has a knack for connecting with people. He enjoys backpacking and has some gardening experience as well.
Verena is a painter with a background in computer science and yoga instruction — a mix of creativity, structure, and calm energy. She loves bringing artistic ideas to life, whether through painting, design, or mindful projects.
We’re both very motivated to learn more about carpentry, natural building, gardening, and permaculture. We love to get involved, learn by doing, and contribute wherever we can — ideally while sharing good food, good company, and a few laughs along the way.
