Hello everybody!

My name is Tomás, 30 from Spain. I love using Workaway to get to know really the country and its people when travelling, connecting in a deeper way, learning and exchanging cultures. I have also lived in Italy, Germany, England and France in the past.

Normally I live in Tenerife, where I work at a hospital as a radiographer technician. From time to time I take some time off for travelling and discover this beautiful world we have.

I consider myself a hard working person, keen to learn new things, specially related to sustainble living. Here in Tenerife my family have a little greenhouse, where we grow Papaya (you can see the pcitures), and this is hardwork, specially during summer time, when we collect around 1500kilos a week. We also grow some vegetables so most of the food we eat it is sustainable. I have also experience with Kids (I have been an au pair twice), elderly (during Covid I volunteered with a local social network to help and offer companion to elderly) and people with disabilities (I currently volunteer with a mental disable association). And last but not least dogs, I love dogs, I have worked with dogs and have one that is the best thing I have!
I´m quiet, do not need much to be happy :)

Besides this, I am really into sports, trying to be as much as possible outdoors, in contact with nature. I do swim, freedriving (beginer), bike, hiking,... and also starting to practice Yoga and meditation.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- I learn quickly, I think you can teach me how to do something just once and generally I can do it instantly
- I´m hardworking, I like physical work and love getting muddy
- I am a good listener
- I have done some basic agriculture work experience, specially planting and collecting
- I know how to cook, but I do not put that much time into it so I do basics
- People say I am a very patient person, and also get along really well with children

Was noch ...

Like I said in the description, I spend most of time practicing sports.
Here in Tenerife we have perfect weather conditions to be outdoor, and I take advange of it. I am mostly at the beach, where I can relax, swim and read, I do love reading a good book.
Also the island have some stunning places and views, only reachable by hiking and sometimes it involves a bit of climbbing.
I am not into series nor movies, altough I love watching a good movie or documentary
