Hey there!
So here a little bit about me... My name is Tessa, I'm 29 years old and I've been a primary school teacher for the last seven years. The first three years I did this in the Netherlands, where I'm originally from. Four years ago I decided to move to Curacao, a small island in the Caribbean, which is a colony of the Netherlands. I teached at a private Dutch primary school here for four years. I went to Curacao to step out of my comfort zone, but after four years it has became my comfort zone again, so I decided that it's time for a new adventure. I saved up some money by giving piano- and guitar lessons after work, renting out my car and I decided to get my kitesurfing instructor licence two years ago. Kitesurfing is a big passion of me. In July I went back to the Netherlands first to visit my family and friends and there I worked at a kitesurfing school. After that it was time to start my new adventure! I flew to the other side of the world and teached kitesurfing from November to February in Nelson, New Zealand. At the moment I’m staying at a kitelodge in Fiji and my plan for the future is to teach kitesurfing in Australia!

I'm fluent in Dutch and English. I also have my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and my Anglia B2 certificate. And I have my teacher degree for the primary school in the Netherlands. I also spent my time learning Spanish the last four years, since there a a lot of people who speak Spanish in Curacao and a lot of travel destinations close (all South America) have Spanish as a native language.

So as mentioned above I love to teach. I teached in primary school, I can teach guitar or piano and I can teach kitesurfing. But I also like to develop myself and learn new things as well. I'd like to help around wherever possible. If it's in a garden, or help around with cooking or cleaning. My vision is that with everything that you spent your time on, you'll develop and you'll get better. And I love to learn a lot in this life.

Was noch ...

So I have a lot of hobbies. Kitesurfing is the thing I'd love te spent my time with the most. Next to that I also learned wingfoiling recently. I also love to do yoga, volleyball, (beach)tennis and I love to dance. I followed salsa and bachata lessons. And I love music. I play the guitar, the ukulele and I play piano. Especially during camp sessions (I go camping quite a lot here on the beach with friends) I love to make music together.

  I'd like to eat as less animal products possible. When I cook, it would be vegetarian. But if somebody cooks meat for me, I won't deny it.
