Beschreibung

We're once working at corporate companies and for different reasons, we resigned from our jobs. Ever since then, we're taking our time to reconsider what we really want to do for the rest of our life. We're searching for meaningful way to fill the rest of our life, to focus on doing things that we really love and passionate about.

Aurora :
I worked on garment manufacturing companies for almost 7 years as Merchandiser. And then I came at the point in my life in which I felt deeply that this job is no longer aligned with my heart calling. Ever since I resigned from my jobs 2 years ago on May 2021, I keep searching on what I am passionate about and at the same time, keep working on my inner self, to be a better person that I want to be. And recently, I feel the calling to go out there, socialize, meet new people, and learn more about different type of people. Find friends who I can connect with in the deepest level. But most importantly, I really love traveling and exploring (especially living) different place. And here, workaway can help me to travel with most minimum budget (I hope), as at this moment I still haven't found any source of regular income. So, I take the chance to change the course of my life, and move away from my comfort zone, in hope that I can find the place where I belong, to allow myself to learn more about life.

Ciacia :
Still wondering what kind of job suit me? What kind of job I want to do for a living? I've worked at 3 different company, start from the middle of 2017 until 2021. The last one is closed, struggling because of the pandemic of covid-19. After that, I feel kind of 'lost'.
Decided to back to hometown and living with my parents. Have lot of time to do self-reflection and knowing myself more. Re-read my journal diary from the past years, makes me realize I've been far from nature after graduate from college. Back then, I really enjoyed morning walk to the botanical garden behind the University. Surround by the green scenery was my natural way to healing. I also loved to do project event with friends in organization. And volunteering already my wishlist at that time! Hope I can explore and learn new things with workaway~

Our Workaway experience:

Lodges Ekologika on Portibi Farm - Cicurug, Sukabumi, Indonesia
- Helping with organic farm (watering, preparing soil for seedling)
- Meal preparation in kitchen, washing dishes
- Set up rooms for guest and cleaning the room after guests left
- Socialize with the guests

Dec 11 - 16, 2023 (Aurora)
Get Plastic NGO - Sibang Kaja, Bali
- Cooking, cleaning, separating plastic trash, learning ecoenzyme, making merchandise from carbon residue, making recycled paper.
