Hello, hi there, I’m Teodora, a true naturalist.

I’ve made a decision and I’m taking some time for myself! Years of moving and traveling only strengthened the nomad in me and deepened my curiosity and desire to learn about other people and cultures. Eagerly embarking on a new chapter in life, I'm excited about the possibilities it holds. This journey is a leap into the unknown, a departure from the comfort of the familiar, a fear tinged with anticipation and a sign that I'm on the right path towards personal growth and detachment.

I am an open-minded, free spirited, curious and empathic soul. A highly organized and responsible person, I love to learn, to look at the deeper layers of reality while enjoying life with lightness and not to taking myself too seriously. I like to connect, wether with other humans, animals, plants or myself.

I'm also passionate about self-development. My values are rooted in self-discovery, profound appreciation for the beauty of nature, and an unending quest for personal growth and fulfillment. For me, this journey is an opportunity to delve deeper into these aspects of life, to gain or expand my knowledge about different kinds of outdoor jobs, guiding activities, gardening, hands-on crafts. To immerse myself in a completely different environment— one in contrast to the usual office 9 to 5 job together with the screens that often occupy our lives. Instead, I seek to surround myself with people who are on a similar path.

My love of nature and animals has led me to study veterinary medicine where I am at my final year. Apart from that I’ve also been interested in art all my life. Having been mostly focused on painting and drawing since early childhood, I’ve recently started educating myself in the field of graphic design where I would like to express myself in new ways. Through my passion for “the great outdoors” I’ve also come to practice different activities like cycling, hiking, trail running and nature photography.

A lifelong dream of mine of experiencing winter in its true sense and glory was finally fulfilled last winter when I got a chance to live and work in Swedish Lapland for six months. This experience changed me completely, made me feel connected with nature, connected with myself. Such peace and harmony as I have never experienced it before. The search for this exact feeling is what motivates me on this journey.

I’ve always been compelled to give back to the world we live in and that is why workawaying is my preferred way of traveling!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience in customer service and in hospitality, and have worked in numerous restaurants and bars in Malta during the summer seasons. The last winter season I was a member of outdoor staff in a lodge in Swedish Lapland.

My gardening experience is based on long time self education and maintaining my orchard and vegetable garden.

Being a hobby photographer the skills I have are related to digital and analog photography.

A lot of the skills I have are not related to specific previous jobs or experiences, but are a result of my long time interests. Some of those are: animal care, cooking, photography, arts and crafts, DIY house works and maintenance.
