Hi everyone!

I’m Tejal, from a small town in Maharashtra, India called Jalgaon. I graduated from IIT Bombay, and I’ve just stepped into a career break - a pause I’ve been dreaming about - to explore, travel slowly, and work on a passion project while I figure out what comes next for me professionally.

Back in 2022, when I was an exchange student, I already felt the pull to volunteer and travel at a different pace, but it wasn’t possible at the time. Still, during my winter break in December 2022, I volunteered at a heritage bakery in Goa - and it felt like a dream come true. That experience stayed with me. I promised myself that after working for two years, I would finally give myself the chance to follow this calling. And here I am - finally living that promise.

A little about me: I’m deeply passionate about culture, heritage, and the arts. These loves are at the heart of my passion project during this break. As I slowly build it, I want to immerse myself in experiences that are rooted in local stories, communities, and ways of living that honour nature and simplicity. I’ve been traveling since I was in 5th grade and fell in love with the mountains early on. I truly believe every journey changes you, and I owe a lot of who I am today to the places I’ve seen and the people I’ve met.

What do I love?
Learning - through people, places, and new experiences. I love listening to stories: who someone is, how they see life, the culture and heritage that shaped them. I love nature, animals, farming, and the grounded way of life that comes with all of it. You’ll find me deeply curious and philosophical one moment, and then fully losing myself in music, dance, or the joy of simple moments the next.

I’m here to find experiences that are real, rooted, and meaningful - where I can help hosts in any way I can, learn about their journeys, culture, heritage, and the history of their place, and truly experience it all firsthand. I’ll be genuinely grateful to anyone who gives me the opportunity to be part of their world for a while and helps me move a little closer to the vision I hold for my passion project.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Being from engineering background I am very good with digital work and business.
Since I love talking to new people, I am very good at talking, and social interactions.
I have knowledge of gardening, can help with house work, cooking, cleaning, taking care of pets and animals, etc. and I am also good with kids and they love me.
I am also okay with working outdoors and getting my hands dirty, even literally.

I play basketball and have played competitively. I like working on artistic projects ( So I learn new things like making beads jewelry, etc.). I like reading books ( psychology, business, sometimes self-help and fantasy), dancing, music, yoga, long walks, biking, etc.
