Hi, I am Tabea and I am from Germany. This summer, I graduated from highschool and currently, I am taking a gap year. I really couldn't imagine to start studying immediately - instead of sitting in crowded libraries, I want to meet new people, make new experiences and see at least a bit of this wonderful world :) My next trip will take me to Iceland in mid-May.
I have always been a person who loves being outside in nature. I do not mind at all to work outside and getting dirty.
As a child, I spent as much time as possible with riding and caring for horses. Even though I am not that active anymore in this field, I still enjoy working with and taking care of animals a lot.
Apart from this, I like a lot to meet new people, get to know new ways of life and make new experiences. I would like to support you in any way you need and integrate myself in your household. Besides, I am happy to work with children. Though I don't have much experience, I love to make them smile :)

I like learning new languages or at least some words as for me, this is always a way to get to know a new culture on a deeper level :) Also, I would like to teach German if this is interesting to anyone.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I would divide my abilitites and expertise in three different fields:
1. At home: As I already moved out from my parents's home, I am used to usual household tasks. I like my apartment to be tidy and have got no problem with cleaning. Also, I love cooking and baking.
2. Outside: As I grew up in a village, I spent lots of time outside. Therefore, I am able to care for animals and do some basic tasks. Last autumn and winter, I volunteered in different farms and shelters during a Balkan-trip. There, I learnt a lot, gained helpful experience and enjoyed many special moments.
3. Social: I am good in getting to know new people and getting used to a new life. During highschool, I spent some months in Finland as an exchange student. Thus, getting into new situations and a new environment is not completely new for me. Volunteering in and travelling through different Southeast European countries then opened my mind even more.

Also, I would love to learn new skills on this journey :)

Was noch ...

In school, my favourite subjects were biology, maths and chemistry - one day, I'd like to be a researcher. However, my interests are very diverse: In my freetime, I like doing sports such as running, swimming or riding my racing bike, but I also like reading, painting and crocheting :)
And with friends, we love going to cafés and drink some good coffee!
