VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE !!!

I am currently volunteering in a farm on the Chloe island. Two days ago I had an accident. My ring finger got pressed while carrying a machine. I have half torn nail and broken distal phalange of my ring finger on my right hand. So I cant use my right hand now and will not be able to do (fully funtioning at least) it for the last weeks of my travel. Within one week I will be able to lower my hand below heart level and let the wound exposing to the air. Instead of changing my ticket and go back home I want to see this incident as an opportunity to live my experince with accepting uncertainities, helps and being opennes to what is coming. In 10 days I think I can use computer. So I can research and write. I have an academic background in biology (nature conservation, ecology, zoology) Also interested in regenarative agricultural practicing, vegab diet,yoga, climbing , sports etc, van construction. I dont know may be you have another idea what I can do for you in this condition. I am planning to be here in Chile until 28 th of Febrero. Well this is an invitation to help my new journey. ¡¡¡ACTUALIZACIÓN MUY IMPORTANTE!!! Actualmente estoy haciendo voluntariado en una granja en la isla Chloe. Hace dos días tuve un accidente. Mi dedo anular quedó presionado mientras llevaba una máquina. Tengo la mitad de la uña rota y la falange distal rota del dedo anular de mi mano derecha. Así que no puedo usar mi mano derecha ahora y no podré hacerlo (al menos funcionar completamente) durante las últimas semanas de mi viaje. Dentro de una semana podré bajar mi mano por debajo del nivel del corazón y dejar que la herida se exponga al aire. En lugar de cambiar mi boleto y volver a casa, quiero ver este incidente como una oportunidad para vivir mi experiencia aceptando incertidumbres, ayudas y estando abierto a lo que viene. En 10 días creo que puedo usar la computadora. Así que puedo investigar y escribir. Tengo una formación académica en biología (conservación de la naturaleza, ecología, zoología). También estoy interesado en la práctica de la agricultura regenerativa, el alimentación vegano, el yoga, la escalada, los deportes, etc., la construcción de furgonetas. No sé, quizás tengas otra idea de lo que puedo hacer por ti en esta situación. Planeo estar aquí en Chile hasta el 28 de febrero. Bueno, esta es una invitación para que me ayudes en mi nuevo viaje. Hola! I am Sunay from Turkey and I am currently traveling in Chile. This is my second time and It is so exciting to be back :) !

I am a versatile person. I have many interests that I sometimes get lost in. Bouldering/Climbing, yoga, mountain hiking, gardening, bird watching, performing arts, wildlife art are some of the things that I like to do.

I am very firendly, sharing and cooperative person and at the same time I respect my own personal space too. I highly value learning new skills, growing emotionally and being transformed. I think traveling and building meaningful relationships with people is a unique way to do that. One of the other reasons of my travel is language exchange. Although it was challenging to do it in Chile I liked it a lot and love challenges anyway. :)) This time it would be great that I explore more of Chile’s wildlife and trekking trails.

I have always preferred to be in nature for living, job, hobbies, healing etc. in my life. Although my education is in nature conservation at the academy, I am not working in that field professionally at the moment. I love to be in countryside and dream about growing a food forest using regenarative methods. That's why seeing different properties such as permaculture gardens, farms, regenerative urban gardens, eco-hostels etc. makes me excited. Learning about different designs and gardening practices motivates me and helps my dreams for the future grow .

Was könntest du arbeiten?

During my academic journey I worked as a researcher in the nature conservation and research projects. (biodiversity, ecology, conservation biology) I was a field biologist and I think my endurance for working in field conditions is quite high. Plus I am comfortable with writing research projects and articles.

After leaving the academy I become a content writer in two different company (Biology Specialist and Product content and blog writer a van company).

I am quick learner and very handy for helping construction works. Me and my boyfriend built a motocaravan 3 years ago.

As I worked remotely in these jobs I also worked as a farmer and biologist in an ecological farm (where people trying to adapt syntropic farming in to mediterranean climate) in the Mediterranean region in Turkey. I can use basic farming tools, plant and harvest, basic pruning. I am also interested in the utilisation of the harvested products in the kitchen (İf you are open to experimenting)

Currently I have been working seasonally in movement and circus art retreat center in a village in Turkey. Mostly being responsible in the kitchen, helping out for workshop organization and for volunteer coordination etc. Besides all these, I have been teaching as a yoga instructor since 2018.
