ELSA
Hi! My name is Elsa. I love spending time in the outdoors going on hikes, bike-packing and canoeing! My love for the outdoors really motivates my passion for environmental conservation and I am eager to get involved in practical projects in the outdoors that have a meaningful, positive impact on the built and natural environment.

SOPHIE
Hi there, I’m Sophie! A Principal Building Physics Consultant from the UK, passionate to make a more sustainable environment, positively impacting communities and our beautiful outdoors.

I thrive on problem-solving, initiating and driving solutions to overcome both physical and technological challenges. Being an extroverted individual, I find joy meeting new people from different backgrounds and am always keen to help lighten someone’s day!

Last year, I decided to leave the corporate world and explore our wonderful planet. We have spent the last few months exploring endless hidden treasures in New Zealand and Australia. I have had a wonderful time so far, hiking, swimming, climbing, canyoning, and am keen to get involved in many more outdoor adventures!

Alongside exploring these wonderful countries, we have got involved in earth building projects within New Zealand. I am very eager to continue my involvement in practical, hands-on environmental and conservation work, helping different regions with a range of tasks towards a more sustainable future.

P.S. I am a vegetarian and love to cook with fresh ingredients and share my recipes with others.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have both spent the last 3-4 years working as Building Physics Consultants in the UK and so have a lot of technical modelling and consulting experience surrounding energy efficiency of buildings - which may or may not be useful to your projects!?

Both of us are very active and love being in the outdoors (come rain or shine - and in England it's mostly rain!). While we only have some experience with gardening, conservation work and building projects (such as Elsa spent a month building a playground in Uganda - which involved digging a lot of holes! and Sophie's love of cooking lead her to grow her own vegetable patch) - we are quick and eager learners, happy to get stuck into new projects and we are both always willing to put in the extra effort to make sure a task is done well!

We have a car and both have full UK drivers licenses.

We have a year New Zealand Working Holiday VISA valid until January 2026.

Hopefully our expertise will be useful but we are also willing and keen to learn !

Was noch ...

Love board games and cards - Sophie's favourite childhood board game was Frustration and Elsa is a pro at Dobble! We both love a mix of sports such as badminton, cycling, hiking and Jungle Body dance classes.

Sophie was part of her University cheerleading team and Elsa played Ultimate Frisbee with both of us competing at national competitions - and we would both be happy to teach them to you and your family.
