Hello, Im traveling around Asia, I was already in Korea, Japan, China,Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, and Singapore. Now I'm in Malaysia, until mind Feb that I will get to India.

Hi everyone
I’m Sofia and now I'm traveling in Malaysia
I'm traveling around Asia for 1 year already and I will like to keep moving for 6 more months, I’m motivated by the opportunity to learn from different cultures, also grow as a human being.

For many year I work in hospitality in the UUEE, working as a sub chef, later as a host and finally as a seller. I moved back to Ecuador because I wanted to work as a clinical psychologist (my degree), I do so for more than 5 years now.
Now I want to travel the world :D
A little about me, I grow up in the jungle in Ecuador, Tena for being more specifically, this gave me a strong appreciation for nature, and I look forward to continuing doing that in my travels.
Since I was 12 years old I did volunteering and I also participate in political groups represent my province. I started traveling when I was 15 years old, and I try to do it often.
As a clinical psychologist,for me is very important human connection and personal growth, and I normally enjoy expressing myself through art, dance, and creativity.
I'm also a belly dancer and I can teach first levels of Arabic dance.
I like to teach dance, I believe that though the movement of the body , we can access emotional expression and healing, having fun and learning.
The belly dance can connect us with the feminine side, evolving self love and empowerment for man and female.
I have a C1 English certificate and I had thought English and arts to kids and adults.
I'm very social and like to share, also I like to learn as much as I can. This trip is for self growing I felt that I done everything in America, south and north. Now I wanted to experience something different, something new, so here I am, so if you are looking for a hard working Latina I will be more than happy to be part of you crew :D

I speak both Spanish fluently and English 90%, and I love using language to connect with people from different backgrounds. In psychology language is very important, we communicate and learn all the time from that. For me, connecting through language creates a bridge to understand about culture and many other things, also helps to built empathy, which is something I value deeply in both, my personal and professional life.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Back home in Ecuador and EEUU, people call me "todologa" that means that I do almost everything. Since I was young I always had a very strong sense of curiosity. I like to work with my hands and i believe Im a very hard worker woman. I paid my university by my self, working even 3 jobs at summer and them working and studying at the same time :)
Outside of psychology, I’ve worked in food services as a cook,this was one of the hardest jobs that I ever had, but this help me to understand team work and also my passion for cooking. I also do belly dance, and I use to work as a dancer for many years I’m fluent in Spanish and I can speak very well English as i said before I have C1 in English.
I also can teach about recyclable paper making, I can teach embroidery, crochet, loom weaving, and belly dancing.
I think i have many good skills, specially working with art, food and hospitality. Now a days I can tell that I am a clinical psychologist with experience working with patients of all ages, one of my specializations is working with children in my private practice. My approach and the way that I work integrates emotional and cognitive development, often using Montessori methods witch I learned as a child and this help to support children’s growth. I’ve also worked with NGOs in Ecuador, focusing on mental health programs for vulnerable communities in the border between Ecuador and Colombia. Also twice a year a do volunteering and work with the University of Columbia From the UUEE, I helped with medical translation and also give free therapy when is need it.

I still have patients online, but I attended only two days a week, one is early in morning (5- 11 am Thursdays) and other very late at night, 10 or 11 pm Tuesdays
