Hello!! we are a couple from Mexico (Allan, 38 yo) and Serbia (Sloba 36 yo).
We are in the process of changing careers. Currently (2026) in Asia.

    About Alan:
For many years I dedicated myself to customer service in various ways: as a cook, as a waiter, and later as a food and beverage manager in many locations around the world. I understand the customer service sector, I have learned a lot from it, and I am very grateful.
I take now a different step in my professional career to be able to reconcile other life priorities such as traveling, experiencing different cultures, making connections, and learning with my skills, professional goals and passions.
I am currently studying Data Analysis. I discovered that I love researching and analyzing data and helping customer service businesses make decisions based on facts, trends, and reliable information. I like the idea of being the bridge between the customer/potential guest and the business. Helping to connect the need and desire with the service! Best of all, I am blessed to be able to develop in this field while having the opportunity to travel.

    About Sloba:

    How we met:
We met when Alan went on a backpacking trip to Serbia(2022) . Before he was working as a manager in Organic Cafeteria in Deventer, the Netherlands. At that time Sloba was working as a Financial budget planner at the Ministry of Transport in Belgrade, Serbia.

We felt in love but Alan had the plan to continue travel through the Balkans so we had a long distance relationship for a few months until Alan received a good job offer via Workaway in England; Sloba was invited to so... Sloba decided to join Alan and quit his job, certainly a very brave decision.

Together, we traveled and worked through Europe and Mexico for nearly 2 years. Then, we settled in Montenegro for almost a year where we collaborated with the owners of a Glamping, from whom we learned a lot and the inspiration arose to travel to Asia and make a career change.

It has been a time of reflection, self-discovery and personal growth. We have also been able to meet wonderful people, develop new skills and discover more talents and passions that we didn't know we have.

We would like to root in a place where we feel home, we are open for it. Travel has becoming one of our passions, so the paradox will be getting roots in a place called home and wings to travel and discover where the world call us.
We believe in the power of synergy, love and resilience while we enjoy the process.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

After more than two years of travelling through this process of career change, we can say that there are some passions we wish to explore and develop further:

    - Sloba: chef (more specifically, pastry chef and baker) and data analyst.
    - Alan: Data Analyst, Social Media, costumer services, part-time chef. I also like photography and making videos about culinary diversity.

    Sloba:
Slobodan studied Accounting and Auditing in Belgrade, Serbia and worked as a financial budget planner at the Ministry of Transport of Serbia, in Belgrade. However, it was not his passion.
Through various experiences on Workaway he discovered that his passion is cooking, especially baking and pastry. He always made cakes and dishes for his family and friends on their birthdays and important days, he enjoyed the process and his family and friends loved it. The best thing is that he has a talent for it. He would like to continue developing his skills as a cook, he is super creative and is always looking for new recipes and new creations that allow him to learn. Possibly, in the future, he would like to open a cafeteria or bakery.

    Alan:
Alan was studying International Business in Mexico City when, at the age of 20, he decided to enter a Monastery in Michoacán, Mexico and leave his studies. He stayed there for almost 9 years, where he studied philosophy, learned to cook for the guest-house and later managed the various businesses that the monastery had; such as the bread factory, the cheese factory and a jam factory, he was developing the knowledge of administration within monastic life.
He undertook some self-sustaining projects for large-scale crops within the monastery itself.
He made a documentary about monastic life for Spanish television and in 2023 he made another documentary in the Dutch television (NPO) about his process of leaving the monastic life.

He worked for 1 year in a tourist resort in the Mexican Caribbean as a bartender and waiter. As a private translator (english-spanish) in the UK and later he worked for 1 year as a manager of a guest house-cafeteria in Deventer, Netherlands. He followed some cooking courses as cook in the Netherlands.

Finally he decided that he needed some time to realize his life projects and delve deeper into his passions and talents, so he started backpacking and it was at that moment that he met Slobodan with whom he now travels, shares his life and make together the project-life come true!

Currently Alan is studying an online "Data analyst" course to enhance his skills in that area use that skills in the tourism sector while he enjoy cooking and sharing his carisma with people in hospitality and events.
