Hey! We are Juraj and Simona, a couple from Slovakia who recently moved to Sydney, Australia, in search of a new adventure. We love the outdoors and staying active, and after some time in the city, we realized that what we’re truly seeking is a hands-on, authentic Australian experience away from the urban lifestyle. We decided to take a break from our IT careers (Juraj as a Software Engineer and Simona as a Business Analyst) to embrace opportunities that allow us to connect with nature, learn practical skills, and fully experience the essence of Australian life! We are excited to volunteer on a farm or help with various tasks, both indoors and outdoors.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- Active Lifestyle: Being outside and staying active makes us feel great! We maintain an active lifestyle, with regular workouts and enjoy hiking. Simona also practices yoga and can share some basic yoga routines or stretching sessions. We’re eager to take on physically demanding tasks and outdoor work.
- IT & Technical Skills: We both have strong backgrounds in IT. Juraj is experienced in software development, while Simona specializes in business analysis. Although we're taking a break from our tech jobs, we’re happy to help with digital tasks if needed, such as improving websites or creating content for websites and social media.
- Healthy Living & Food Preparation: We are passionate about clean eating and enjoy preparing our own meals. We have experience fermenting foods (kombucha, sourdough, sauerkraut) and cooking with fresh, healthy ingredients.
- Creative Skills: Simona enjoys crafting and bringing a creative touch to various projects, such as DIY tasks, decorating, and artsy activities.
- Experience with Farm Work & Gardening: Simona has hands-on experience with berry picking, while Juraj has experience gardening in his parents’ garden in the countryside. We are skilled in planting, weeding, and harvesting.
- Childcare & Pet Care: Coming from large families, we are both comfortable with looking after children and pets. We have plenty of experience keeping kids entertained with fun activities and games, as well as looking after pets, including walking dogs and general pet care.
- Driving Skills: We both have valid driver's licenses.
- Quick Learners & Problem Solvers: We bring a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, whether it's farm work, animal care, or household chores.

Was noch ...

We love being outdoors, especially hiking. We’re big coffee and food fans, and passionate about travelling! In our free time, we like taking photos (analog and digital), playing around with tech, and hanging out with friends over board games and good food. We’d love to experience the Australian lifestyle outside of the city, help with some meaningful projects, and get to know interesting people!
