Beschreibung

We're an Irish and Czech couple starting a new life in Sweden with our dog. We are looking for somewhere to stay and work in Sweden for a few months while we organise our residency and search for properties to buy. Ideally, our hosts would provide us with proof of address for the time we are with them. Frank is available for all kinds of practical work while Sheena will be continuing her work teaching English online - so WIFI is important. Sheena will be also be available to help out with kids, with English practice and other work. We love outdoor activities, reading, movies and we enjoy vegan food.


Sheena: I'm from Ireland but travel is my passion. I love new experiences and meeting new people. I teach English online and will be continuing this when we move to Sweden.


Jaromir "Frank": I've been building since before I could walk, including building the house I grew up in. I'm an experienced electrician and have been working as a plumber, fitting gas heaters, installing well pumps and pumps for waste water, handling customers and invoices etc. most of my working career. In London, I ran a building company alongside my brother with a particular focus on handling emergencies. While living in Ireland, I worked on lighthouses where I was renewing electric installations and installing solar systems and what an experience that was! I've also worked repairing wooden houses in Sweden and I spent a few months cleaning houses and doing maintenance in a retreat centre and ski chalet. This included plumbing repairs, bathroom maintenance, electrical fault finding and maintenance, pool maintenance and building a pulley system for the hot tub so guests could just turn a lever and the lid would lift smoothly up to hang above the tub. I'm always up for new projects, sharing my skills with others and learning new skills too.

Hobbies: reading, cooking, travelling, playing video games, hiking, slacklining and almost anything physical and practical.
Personality: neat and tidy, upbeat and chatty but I also appreciate downtime reading, gaming or hiking in quiet places.


Buddy: I'm a big teddy bear! I might not understand how doors work or what fetch is (hey, you threw it, you get it) but a walk and comfy bed with my people are all I need. My deadliest weapon is my tail wagging :D I'm not bothered by other people when out walking but if you come over to say hi, I'll happily give you a sniff but I won't jump. Kids, and adults of all sizes and loudness are fine - even better if they come with a butt scratch. I'm used to living in a variety of places in Czech Rep, UK and Ireland, in houses with other dogs and a cat, apartments and a van... doesn't bother me once I've got my people around. All my housemates love me and they even wrote to my people to tell them what a good boy I am. I usually like other dogs but sometimes I ignore them - sniffing can be so much more interesting. I do like puppies and I don't mind when they jump on me. My people have taken me to lots of places, including events and a summer camp for young adults with additional needs. I even dressed up for the ball at the end of camp! I do great with wheelchairs, pushchairs, babies, loud noises including fireworks, abrupt gestures and crowds of people. My travel friends have included mountain sheep and a pig who decided that my bed was more comfortable than his... I also lived with a kitty friend in a retreat centre in France and have been allowed to visit her a few times since then. I try to be friends and sometimes she decides to share my bed :)
