Beschreibung
As Freelance musicians, our work lives were drastically impacted by the events of the last two years. We‘ve come through well , but came to the conclusion that it would be a healthy choice for us to branch out, meet new people, see new places, learn new skills and languages. We also want to give our young son, Ian, a new and positive experience that he couldn‘t have in school. It’s been exciting and reassuring to see how everything has taken shape so far and how right this step feels!
Meike: „I am a classical soprano, 40 years old and involved in music since the age of 4 (piano, clarinet, singing, organ, ...). So, music is a big part of my life, but I am also very interested in healthy & natural living, good food (vegetarian, vegan, rawfood), spirituality, yoga, meditation and I am very interested in learning more about gardening. My mother comes from South Korea and my father is German.
Shawn: „I play trombone professionally (classical, jazz and improvised) and have taught trombone and ensembles at a post-secondary institution in Germany for the last ten years. Music-making has been my main focus for a very long time. At this point in my life, I am interested in new experiences and learning/discovering new things/skills (but have brought my instrument along 😉). Since we‘ve started this project, it has felt like exactly the right thing to do for this time and I am so happy that we‘ve taken this step!
Ian, our son, will be seven this year, is very open, curious, likes to communicate, playing drums and piano and loves lego!
