Im Sebastian. Born 1994. 5 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall in germany.
Since 2018 I travel every now and then within the UK. Mainly Scotland and England.
I used to work in a Kindergarten. I saved some money and currently Im travelling and volunteering. This year I was already in Ireland and Finland. Now Im curious to see some other places.
I am mainly helping in fields of renovating, decorating, helping at the garden and stuff like this. I also volunteered quite a few times in a cafe.
Although I stayed meanwhile more than 5 times ( up to 6 months) in a Buddhist center, I also like to see new things to expand my horizon. In contrary to the community life at the center a stay with a family who teaches their child with home education was also very educational for me.
I studied Social Work and used to work in a Kindergarten in Germany.
One idea of my journeys is to search for inspiration for my work. The other idea is to learn new, or practice my DIY skills, in addition learn more about self-sufficiency.
Sometimes all goes together :)

Sebastian was a delight to host last summer (sorry for the late review!) He worked ridiculously hard, was full of interesting and stimulating conversation, got on well with everyone and was an absolute joy to have around. I really hope we do see you again soon Sebastian.

Time went by so fast, I actually wanted to stay here 2 weeks but at the end I stayed here nearly 4 weeks. Always a good sign when you stay longer than expected :)

I stayed 3 weeks in Rudyard and enjoyed my time here.
The work it self is actually not too hard and the working days are well structured. Another Volunteer stayed also here in this time.

I stayed 9 days at Magrets house, she answered my request fast. You can also ask her about the neighbourhood and the location of here house if you want to know what to expect.

Sebastian was good with house cleaning and garden work. He did floor and wall cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom. In the garden he dug over flower and vegetable beds and made a brick border.

I stayed 5 days at Johns house. Even in this short time, I learned a lot about cultural differences, and the British nature. He gave me good advices how to find my way around in Newcastel upon Tyne and Hebburn. He was very welcoming when I arrived, interested in my ideas and tried to make me feel at home. It would have been difficult to finish repapering the ceiling in the second bedroom without his assistance.
