Beschreibung

As a non-native speaker of English, I recently discovered the word hodophile and that's what I think I really am. Travelling, meeting new cultures, finding out about different ways of doing, as well as other languages: it all brings me so much joy that by now it's something I cannot do without anymore. Having at least one journey booked ahead keeps me alive and wanting to explore more and more.
My favourite type of travel: slow, at times uncomfortable, and a small backpack on. I like it when I can travel the same way locals do.
In November, I will embark on my first long on-the-move sabbatical and I would love to make the most out of this platform. My friend Francesca (second picture in my gallery and Workaway profile linked to mine) will be with me for some time, and in Nepal (starting point) we'd actually like to do some workaway together.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm an all-rounder, a fast learner and a person who is eager to learn something new every day. So please contact me even if the kind of support you need doesn't match my strongest skills ;)
Where I'm stronger:
- social work: I'm an extrovert person and someone who finds it easy to build relationships.
- childcare: I've had lots of experience working with small kids, from nanny to kindergarten assistant.
- working outdoors: I'm a nature lover and with some instructions, I'm sure I'll enjoy supporting you with farming and agriculture work.
- hospitality services: I've accumulated over 4 months of experience working in hostels through workaway in the past and loved it especially because of client relationships (front desk, help during meals, organising activities).

Was noch ...

The other thing I cannot do without, except for travelling, is doing sport. It's hard to replace the positive energy I get out of a nice long jog (especially in nature or along a river/sea) or a good tennis match.
I also profoundly cherish good, deep conversations with known and new people, and I am always up for coffee (the other addiction in my life).
