Beschreibung

We’re Sarah and Matt, a married couple from the UK travelling around New Zealand on working holiday visas. We love animals, being outdoors and getting to know a place through the people who live there.

We’ve spent around four years house-sitting, caring for homes and pets and following each animal’s individual routine. Sarah also has experience in housekeeping, hospitality and food development, while Matt has worked in campsite management, landscaping, labouring and a plant nursery. We’re dependable, hands-on and happy to get stuck in.

Through Workaway, we’d love to learn new skills, meet local people and contribute something useful as we travel. Good company, animals, a satisfying day’s work and the chance to explore somewhere new make us happiest.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We’ve spent around four years house-sitting and caring for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, alpacas, pigs, tortoises and reptiles. We’re used to learning each animal’s routine, following care instructions closely and making sure they feel safe and well looked after.

Matt has experience in campsite management, landscaping, labouring and working in a plant nursery, so he enjoys practical, hands-on jobs. Sarah’s background in food development and hospitality has made her organised, hardworking and good at adapting to new tasks. We both enjoy being outdoors and would love to help with animal care, gardening and general upkeep.

We’re reliable, work well together and are always keen to learn from people with different skills and ways of doing things.

Was noch ...

In our free time, we love exploring new places and getting outdoors, whether that’s hiking, kayaking, spotting wildlife or trying something new. We also love finding good local food and hearing our hosts’ recommendations for places we might otherwise miss.

We have our own car, so we can explore independently on our days off.
