Hello,

I'm Sarah, and I'm off on my WHP adventure in New Zealand until May 2025.

In France, I was - and still am, but I'm going to focus on Kiwi experiences - a freelance translator.
I already had a workaway experience in 2017, during a roadtrip (Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark). I enjoyed this experience, where I met incredible people and stories, and I'd like to repeat it in New Zealand, where I'll be driving for the next nine months, starting with the North.

I'd like to make the most of it to discover the country and culture, meet new people, travel, and take part in projects to help out. I'm naturally curious, with a keen interest in flora and fauna, art, cinema, history and so on. I can help with restoration projects, landscaping, gardening, pruning, or simply take care of the house, animals (horses, dogs, cats, goat...). I can also keep an eye on kids :)

People say I'm fun and bubbly, but I also know how to be discreet: I'm very adaptable! I'd be delighted to meet you, future host, and to share some time with you!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As a translator, I have experience in the field of textual content: translation, proofreading and creation of textual content in French - I could also write some in English, but you'll have to work closely with me, as it's not my mother tongue ;)

I have experience with plants: planting, caring for plants, collecting fruits/vegetables, and even... designing gardens ;) I also have experience with animals and I love them: dogs, cats, horses (several years of riding and I have my own horses at home ; I worked on a farm in Germany that bred Rocky Mountain Horses).

I know how to look after houses (tidying, cleaning, painting, keeping an eye on children, restoring old furniture, etc.) in general.

I don't have much formal experience, but I'm enthusiastic about helping and learning new skills.

Was noch ...

I like playing board games (card games, board games). I have a genuine interest in cinema and music, my tastes are eclectic and I'm open-minded.
I love the city and what it has to offer - visiting museums, monuments, bars, going dancing - as much as the countryside - hiking (always behind on the way up, first on the way down), and peaceful landscapes.
