Beschreibung

Hello! Our names are Andreas and Sarah! We are from Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada, but we are currently beginning one year of living abroad in Germany. We are both eager to learn German, and Andreas speaks a little already. We both love the outdoors and learning about the natural world–especially plants and birds. We also enjoy hiking and cycling. Since 1st August we have been bike touring through France, Switzerland, and now Germany. In addition, we both have a passion for the arts and are avid readers. We both love learning new things and enjoy meeting new people!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Both of us have plenty of experience gardening, as well as cooking and preparing food. We are both native English speakers and newly certified TEFL language instructors. Additionally, we are both proficient writers and editors in the English language. Andreas has experience teaching biology and natural history to children as well as university students, and Sarah has experience teaching art to children. We are both clean and organized and always eager to learn new skills!

Was noch ...

We love to travel and have both travelled and volunteered a lot in the past! We have volunteered several times (similar to a workaway situation) on a small farm near our home in Canada, where we looked after animals and helped our hosts with other projects and tasks around their farm. Many years ago Sarah worked as a volunteer on a remote island in Vanuatu helping to build a school house. The most meaningful part of these kinds of experiences has always been connecting with people and the land, and challenging ourselves. We love learning new things, working with our hands, and building community.
