Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Sarah. I am originally from the foothills of Himalayas, a small town called Darjeeling (tea lovers might know) surrounded by forests and tea gardens. Hence, I love being in nature and exploring outdoor activities.

I love to have immersive experiences that goes way beyond the tourist spots. I look forward to knowing different hosts and experience their culture and their way of life closely.

I am a digital nomad and in the past four years, I have lived in Bali, Switzerland, Dubai, France, and Nepal.

I love experiencing new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds. I enjoy learning about their stories. I have volunteered a lot in the past- in farms, organisations, schools, and events etc.

While I get to experience the pulse in the cities, experiencing village life in different countries has a special place in my heart as it gives me such a deeper experience of a culture. I believe in slow travelling which is much more than ticking off places on a list. This is another reason why I chose Workaway because volunteering and living with families has always been some of the most culturally immersive experience for me every time.

I am passionate about all things sustainability- I try to live my life sustainably on a daily basis- DIY a lot of my products, even farm a bit back in my home country.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Professionally, I work in digital marketing. I have experience in creating marketing and social media strategies. I am also a content writer for blogs, websites, social media content. I am more than happy to help hosts with this if needed

I am also good at household chores- cleaning up, cooking (I love it but my cooking is pretty experimental- :D)

I have lots of experience and love working in the farms. So planting, weeding, watering, taking care of animals is something I have always loved.

I have had dogs and cats all my life growing up (we also had ducks, Guinea pigs, rabbits, birds at some point) so I have always been an animal lover so more than happy to take care of pets if needed.

I love children and playing with them. So, if your children need company or a playmate, I would be ecstatic to take up that role :)
