I grew up on an off-the-grid homestead in the Salish sea of the west coast of the United States. I love the sea, sailing, surfing, wooden boats, simple living, and wholesome local food. I'm an omnivore, (dairy, meat, fish, eggs etc.) and am looking for stays that are aligned with that (I don't function well on vegetarian or vegan diets).
I built my own tiny house from trees I felled and milled, and enjoy working with my hands and crafting in a way that’s thoughtful and beautiful.
I often sing folk songs while I work, and really enjoy singing with other people.
My current profession is as an arborist, but I’ve done a variety of trades over the years.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Carpentry, tree pruning and felling, basic off grid solar wind and hydro systems, sailing (licensed captain), basic gardening. I grew up on a homestead, and around boats, and I’m very used to figuring things out.

I'm an intermediate and dedicated surfer, mostly looking for spots near a good break. mostly surf longboards, but excited to get into short boards if there's the opertunity. I like working with people, and I'm also very comfortable being given a project and just doing it on my own. either way, I like the opertunity to be creative and feel like my skills and experience are really being used. I'm also very interested in learning new skills and knowledge particularly about farming and gardening.
