Currently home in Florida and looking forward to traveling once again.

Beschreibung

Greetings from the swamps of North Florida. We're both retired but working part time here-and-there. Jane is a museum educator. I am a retired university researcher. Jane is a crafter and the brains of the operation. I'm part of a "makerspace". It's one of several community projects that I helped start. We live in a rural cooperative community in the north of Florida.

We've both been volunteers for a long time. I have helped develop a local maker space, a volunteer fire company, a couple of food coops, etc. Jane turned her volunteer work at local museums into a career. We both volunteer at weekend music festival where she helps with the logistics, and I serve as a stage manger.

We're good at helping, and despite our advanced age (we both just turned 73), have energy and we hope, a little wisdom. We're both seasoned travelers. I like to go for a month or two at a time. Jane is a two or three week traveler. We are dual citizens (Italy and USA) and have passports from both countries so for the EU and US, no visas are required.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm a good cook, especially good at cooking for large groups of people. I know a bit about organising non-profit groups. I'm a good researcher. My native language is english, but I am getting better at Italian (a1 to a2 level and improving). I am good at electrical work, and have some pretty decent computer skills. I'm really good at organising groups. I create videos on YouTube and have hosted two popular podcasts.

We built much of our own house and have some skills in construction, painting, electrical wiring, and plumbing.

Jane is an english speaker and has worked as a librarian, school teacher and museum educator. Her hobbies include crochet, quilting, rope making, and other arts. She's an excellent baker and takes extrodinary photos.

We both easy going, friendly, patient, grateful, like to ride bikes, enjoy walking, are really into folk music, and have good energy for old folks. However, we do like our pausa/afternoon naps.

I'm a bit of a musician, and play the english concertina. I used to own a business working with Apple/Macintosh computers and have some skills there. I'm a really good internet researcher and know how to write a research report.
