Hiyah!!

We moved from Ireland to Australia in December 2023 and wish to engage in exciting and educational opportunities! We traveled up the West Coast, over the North, and now down the East Coast with our car. We are planning on settling in the Byron region for a few months to work and enjoy the summer months there.

I, Rowan (29) grew up in Ireland on a working farm. The natural world is my playground for work and pleasure from farming to surfing. I studied Outdoor education and worked as a surf instructor. In 2023, I completed an intense Internship at home practicing Regenerative Agriculture with cattle, sheep, and poultry. We also had a two-acre No-Dig Market garden supplying two weekly markets and 20 weekly veg boxes. I am trying to gather ideas before eventually switching up the family farm from a current conventional system to a more holistic RA approach focusing on local food, soil, and water health and biodiversity.

I, Tabea (25) grew up in the countryside of Germany. In 2023, I finished my studies in International Business in Germany and managed a surf camp in 2022. I have several years of experience working in hospitality and babysitting. While being on holiday from uni I have worked alongside Rowan on his Internship for a few weeks. I love spending time in nature be it hiking, swimming, diving, or surfing.

Earlier this year we completed our farm work for 3 months in Margaret River including tractor driving, seeding oats and grass, working in a packing shed, and harvesting potatoes. As both of us love animals we also enjoy doing house and pet sits when we find the opportunity for it. We both are trustworthy young people looking for some meaningful experiences while traveling around Australia.
