Hi!

We are Rosie and Owen, a young couple from the UK, out exploring and seeing the world.
We both grew up in various places around the globe (Switzerland, India and Malaysia) and haven't stopped travelling and exploring since. We have come to the end of our overland adventure from the UK to Australia and have spent the last few months exploring the country.

So far we have worked on hobby farms in Australia- working with lots of different animals and doing gardening, landscaping, creative & DIY projects and even setting up very eleaborate village Christmas displays!
We love the outdoors and aren't afraid of working hard and getting stuck in.

We are excited to use Workaway to meet locals, gain experience and throw ourselves into as many fun and interesting opportunities as we can find, sharing our experiences and skills as well as learning from others as we go.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Rosie is a primary school teacher by trade, specialising in early years/child development and SEND, but has spent the last year working in Comms and Engagement for the Department of Education( DfE) following a career change. She has almost five years experience in the Education sector, as well as having au pair'ed and tutored internationally. Rosie was also a St John Ambulance volunteer so has First Aid skills, and has qualifications and experience in the Health and Social care sector.

Rosie also has plenty of experience in the hospitality and farming sector, so she has a whole host of diverse skills she is ready to use!

Rosie enjoys putting her creativity to use and helping with painting, decorating and renovating work. Rosie is also happy to lend her comms, web design and social media management skills if that's what you're looking for. Rosie loves all animals and definitely feels most at home on farms or more rural areas with lots of wildlife.

Hobbies: Music (guitarist, songwriter and singer), Art (painting and sketching) and travelling- of course!

Owen is just as happy halfway up a scaffold with his toolbelt on as he is behind a laptop preparing spreadsheets and funding proposals, but is most at home in a quiet corner with a good book or stood in a field in the rain having a chat with whatever livestock he can find. He has good experience working in the construction and landscaping/ gardening industry, before moving into office-based administration roles, and has a number of years experience working in the third sector. Owen has worked on numerous home and garden renovations and his happy to put his knowledge in this area to good use. Owen also loves farm and rural living and loves to be outdoor whether it's hiking through the Faroe Islands or swimming in springs in Nepal!

Owen is also an excellent cook and Rosie enjoy's baking so if there's opportunity to contribute to meals we love to get involved!

Both of us can turn our hand to pretty much anything. We're hardworking, quick to learn, and good, honest grafters. We understand that we don't yet have reviews to back us up, but we have plenty of references from around the world to put your mind at ease if need be :)
