Beschreibung
Hello, we are Rosario (from BA, Argentina) and Alfonso (from Santiago, Chile).
We recently sold our business and flat in Santiago de Chile to start a new life in Spain! We wanted to do this for a long time and we can't wait to see where life takes us.
Before jumping into a new routine we are looking forward to having a couple Workaway experiences.
We had a great time during 2017-2019 doing Workaway and want to try it again.
Through Workaway we seek to learn and explore new cultures and make new friends around the globe!
We love everything that is related to music, arts, films, cultural events, sports & yoga, outdoor adventures, animals and food.
We run Pasaporte Literario —a cultural project— for seven years.
Alfonso has a solid background in Business and Administration, he is an Engineer and has worked in Marketing for the past 15 yrs. Rosario has a degree in Journalism and she is doing a Master's degree in Cultural Project Management and Entrepreneurship. She also has experience in hotel and event management and is into decoration and design.
We are a super team, we are both very organised, laid back and we try to live a healthy lifestyle. We are passionate cooks.
Our Workaway experience is very varied:
- Hostel and B&B management. Reception, breakfast preparation/clean up, general cleaning/handyman duties, organising parties, events/activities and shared meals, gardening and negotiation of alliances/partnerships with tour operators, car rentals/taxi companies, bars and pubs, amongst other responsibilities.
-We worked with different hospitality softwares, helped with social media, community management and administration.
-Bartended in different hostels and bars in Mexico.
-Cooked dinner for 10 to 20 people on a daily basis (created and carried out the recipes)
-Helped rebuild and refurnish homes with All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response NGO in Louisiana.
-Carpentry, electricity, general building, painting and carried out DYI ideas.
- Worked in a farm where we mostly did clearing and planting and learned about organic farming and products and used these skills to: help transform a store into an organic store, do kefir and kombucha, prepare cheese and other diary products.
- House and dog sitting in San Diego, California.
- Helped move houses in San Diego and Baltimore, USA.
Rosario has Spanish citizenship and Alfonso, residency in Spain (work permit)
We've been cruising around Spain for the past month visiting friends and family and are ready to stay somewhere for a bit longer, help around, meet people 🙏
