Beschreibung

I'm Romana, 25, from Slovakia. I recently quit my marketing job to spend a summer doing something that actually feels real (working with my hands, being outdoors, and connecting with people and animals rather than spreadsheets and screens).

I grew up in a village surrounded by animals and nature. We always had dogs, cats (plenty of rescued ones!), and even a horse. Animals were never just animals to me, they were family. Feeding them, caring for them, being around them brings me genuine joy. That's the kind of energy I want to bring to wherever I land this summer.

Alongside my marketing career, I've worked in a supermarket and an ice cream store, so I'm used to being on my feet, helping people, and doing whatever needs doing with a smile.

This chapter of my life is about slowing down, disconnecting from city noise, and doing something that matters. Whether that's caring for animals at a sanctuary, welcoming travellers at a hostel, or tending a garden. I love the outdoors, I'm reliable, cheerful, and genuinely grateful for every experience that teaches me something new.

If you're looking for someone who'll show up with good energy, treat your place (and your animals!) with love and respect, and stay curious about everything, I'd love to be that person.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My mother tongue is Slovak and I speak English fluently, I used my English daily in my marketing job, so I'm comfortable with written and spoken communication, emails, social media, and dealing with people professionally.

Through my work in customer-facing jobs I got good at staying calm under pressure, being friendly with all kinds of people, and just getting things done efficiently. I'm used to long shifts on my feet and working as part of a team.

Growing up in a village, helping around the house and garden was just part of daily life, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of practical tasks (helping in the kitchen, cleaning, tidying, basic maintenance, gardening, and general farm-style chores). None of it feels like a big deal to me, I actually enjoy it.

Most of all I'm adaptable, calm, and easy to have around. I pick things up quickly and I'm not the type to stand around waiting to be told what to do.
