Hi, I'm new here!

I'm Roberta from Slovakia. I am an extremely adventurous person and I like to push myself out of my comfort zone.

I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs and horses. I have trained my Labrador on my own and sometimes I walk dogs from the shelter. I also help at a school that trains assistance dogs and guide dogs for blind people.

I also love nature, mountains and hiking. I go hiking whenever I can. As well as hiking, I am a very sporty person. I play competitively Ultimate Frisbee and I enjoy climbing, swimming, cycling, skiing/snowboarding and windsurfing, as well as anything else that involves movement.

In terms of art, I play the guitar and enjoy drawing and photography.

Currently, I am completing a Master's degree in Mathematics. I have already completed an additional teaching degree in mathematics.
I currently teach physical education at many different primary schools, trying to build a passion for sport in children. I organise maths camps for students as a volunteer. These are amazing weeks full of fun games, sports, maths and lots of children's smiles.

When travelling, I prefer to see nature, hike some mountain, but I also visit cities and tourist attractions. I want to travel the world, see it with my own eyes, meet new people and learn about different cultures.

Others see me as a very smiley, positive, adventurous, creative and ambitious person. I like trying new things.
I speak English fluently and have a basic knowledge of German and Russian.

I already have some volunteering experience. I have done Workaway twice (in hostels and in a restaurant in Norway), and both times I found the host on Facebook. It was an amazing experience both times, so I decided to create an account here.

In exchange, I can help with whatever is needed. I think I can manage almost anything I am also willing to learn and improve anything I don't know! I can also share my knowledge and tell you about my country.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience of taking care of animals, especially dogs. I can also teach children and organise fun activities for them.

I also like to cook and bake. I believe that I can manage almost anything around house and garden, and I am always willing to learn and improve in areas where I am less experienced. I enjoy repairing and creating things.
