Beschreibung

We are River and Nel and met traveling in Australia in 2017. We kept on traveling in Canada, the US, and Europe together for a year afterward, actually doing many work exchanges (mostly on HelpX), and eventually moving to Germany (Nel's home country). Nel started her studies at university (sustainability and education) in 2019 and River moved to Germany with her. We spent the last few years studying, baking bread, doing flow arts outside, learning to play the guitar, dancing, painting and just enjoying life together :-)
We are excited to start traveling again (and escape the German winter for a few months ;-).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

River:
10 Years experience working in Gastronomy. Professional Bartender (modern mixology/classic cocktails). I'm also a trained Neopolitan style Pizza Chef.
Having done many help exchanges, I've picked up many handy man type skills. I'm decent with a chainsaw, having lumberjacked a bit. I've built trails, done carpentry work, bamboo construction, worked in the garden, and looked after animals. I've also worked as an Au Pair for 6 months in Sydney, Australia. Overall, I have a helpful set of hands in the kitchen, the garden, and with handyman tasks.

Nel:
I have done many work exchanges when traveling in the past :)
What I really enjoy doing is painting (artistically and practically), building creative structures, playing and teaching kids, trail building and outdoor work in general, organizing and putting systems in place and assisting with kitchen and homesteading tasks. I also love taking care of animals :)
Professionally, I could assist with online marketing, print/online design jobs, videography and teaching (I study in the field of cultural studies, sustainability, and education).

Was noch ...

River:
I love circus arts! I love hula hooping, juggling, and spinning fire. I play guitar, and love to write. I dream of building a house some day using EcoBuilding principles. I am here to learn new skills and become a more well rounded individual.

Nel:
I have a background in dance, especially ballet and modern/contemporary dance. I have experience teaching ballet to children of all ages :) Moreover, I am very sportive and active, practice yoga, and love being creative. I have a big passion for details and love creating gorgeous/interesting/comfortable spaces (indoor and outdoor). I love music festivals, fire spinning, and star gazing :-)
