My name is Rebecca, I am 31 years old, and I come from Italy. I work as a teacher of Italian and History, but I can’t wait to set off again for Southeast Asia. The things I love the most are studying, travelling, and reading novels about other cultures. I've never stopped studying: I got two Master's degree, one in History and another one in Indology; my dream is to pursue a PhD. I am deeply fascinated by Indian traditions, history and religions. My strongest soft skills are patience, determination, and a positive attitude. I enjoy staying with people, discover new traditions and having fun telling and listening to funny stories about other people's life. I am vegan and in love with second-hand clothes and stuffs. I really care about social projects involving schooling and women’s empowerment, which are also the two fields in which I feel most skilled to work. I feel grateful whenever I have the chance to meet enthusiastic and open-minded people who enjoy social activities and are curious about other cultures, just like me :)
I would like to explore Indonesia and contribute with my teaching skills to the wellbeing of local communities. I have already volunteered twice in India and spent several months there. I hope many new adventures are yet to come! -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I have been working as a teacher in middle and high schools for 5 years, training myself on teaching techniques and methods. I have also experience as a university tutor and with students with special needs.
I have also a strong preparation in the academic field: I got three degrees, two in History and the last one, obtained this April, in Indology. India and history are definetely my strongest passions.
Volunteering is another one of my favourite activities: I was a Red Cross volunteer till 2024, and I have spent several months abroad in India and Kenya volunteering in support of schools and local communities.
My mother tongue is Italian, but I also speak English and a bit of French. I am learning Hindi and Bengali.
I am good at creating new bonds between people, as I am sociable and talkative. I have a positive attitude and I am willing to learn new things and hear stories from people around the world. -
