Hello lovely hosts and travellers,

My name is Alexandru, Alex for short, originally from a cute town in north-west Romania, somewhere in the forests of Transylvania.
Nowadays I live in Berlin and I've been enjoying building my life here over the past 2 years, but felt the need for another adventure. This time, I am heading towards the beautiful South American continent.

I love adventure and I'm happy to share plenty travelling stories, either from the time I hitchhiked all the way from Portugal to India, or from the numerous climbs and hikes on different mountains of this world.

Nature and community - two things that make me very fulfiled and bring a lot of meaning into my life. I hope to connect with beautiful communities, people and ways of living, and I know workaway is such a great way to explore these concepts. I'm looking forward to meeting you all, share, connect, help and leave not as a volunteer, but as a friend :)

I'm also very interested in sustainability, permaculture, politics and social work, and these are always topics I am very happy to talk about and learn more.

I'm also very excited to practice my Spanish and get more confident with speaking it. ¡Vaaaamos!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've worked as a volunteer on several projects, from farms to animal shelters, movie festivals or hostels. All these experiences taught me a lot about teamwork and communication, which I think are some of the most important skills for any group work.

I also have a bit of experience with teaching, as I have also volunteered as a teacher, working with children and teaching them basic computer programming.

I also speak both Romanian and English fluently and I can help with language practice. I am also interested in learning new languages myself, so I am actively seeking any kind of language exchange.

I also have my digital skills, from both my former job and my personal time spent on the computer. I know many projects are seeking web designers. I do not have too much experience with this, but I think after watching a few tutorials I could also help with building at least a decent website. The things you can learn from YouTube are endless after all. :)
I also enjoy writing, so I would be happy to help with any kind of social media content or
blogs.

In the end, I think travelling is a lot about flexibility and growth. I think of myself as a quick learner and I would be happy to try out new activities and develop new skills.

Was noch ...

I have joined workaway mostly to get to know as many different people as possible and learn from them as many things as I can. Also, wherever workaway will take me, I hope to arrive as a volunteer, but leave as a friend as well.
