Hey there
I started working on organic farms in 2013 and fell in love with the work. I eventually found myself in a position to manage a 5acre certified organic farm in Ontario Canada. I love working in teams, problem solving, regenerative land stewardship practices, food security programs, community initiatives and vibrancy.

In 2022 I began a training program for women in the trades and started an apprenticeship as a carpenter. I have gained experience in renovations, interior finish work, framing, drywall, siding, floor installs, decks and timber framing, tiling and much more.

I am currently living with a local workaway host who is a natural building architect and we are doing some renovations on her property.

I feel passionate about finding a workaway host in Costa Rica who is engaged in permaculture, natural building projects, and if you're a spiritual centre or person as well, then that would be the best fit!

I meditate daily, move my body to feel good, sing, cook, dance, hangout with bees (I am a beekeeper) and plants, and build community wherever I go. I also am a disability support worker.

I have a lot of interest in spending time in a permaculture center. I took my first PDC last year in 2021 and then quit my job to support a family who ran a permaculture education center. I try to align my life with the principles and ethics I learned in my course.
I really enjoyed the opportunity to slow down from the fast paced market gardening work I had been doing for years, and take time to interact and be in deeper relationship with the plants around me at the farm I lived on. I am new to foraging, plant medicine and identifying native species in our area, but find it all so exciting...

Was noch ...

I hope to learn better Spanish during my travels. Would love a host who is close to trails, or things close by that I can leave and go explore on my own or with other workawayers/volunteers if I am staying for more than 2 weeks.
