Hi everyone! We're Riccardo and Rebecca, we're both 20 y/o and we come from Italy.
We can't wait to travel the world in order to have new experiences and learn about new cultures. We also believe that this is an excellent opportunity to improve our English and to learn new languages.

Riccardo:
Hi again, I'm Riccardo and I used to work as a Software Tester for an IT company in Milan. I've always gotten on well with my colleagues and my superiors, but despite this I quitted in October 2023, in order to live these experiences and make a change in my life. This is because since I started working (April 2022), I've spent most of my working days in smart working (obeying the company policy), feeling the lack of a human relationship during my days.
Furthermore, over the past few years I've developed a strong passion for travel, for art and for the cultures and traditions of the world!
Thanks to my job and my Workaway experiences I can understand and speak english pretty well.
In addition, this job has also allowed me to learn how to communicate with customers and colleagues in the most constructive way.
Last but not least, I consider myself an open-minded person, willing to learn and needing to get involved. In fact, what I look for in this type of experiences is, first of all, a personal growth that I hope can take place on both sides. :)

Rebecca:
Hi, I'm Rebecca! I studied psychology and graduated from a health and social institute of hygiene and psychology.
I had the opportunity to work in a nursery with children from 2 to 4 years old and as a babysitter.
During my studies I had to find a job that supported me, so I worked for more than a year as a waitress in different restaurants and I really liked to be in touch with the customers!
However, the experience that most marked me, is the entertainment season... I worked closely with people of all ages, I was able to use my creativity and imagination in the mini club, my exuberance in cabaret shows, my inexperienced dance moves and my precision in organizing activities outside the village by collecting data and money from the participants.
I would like to continue having this kind of experience abroad to open my mind and above all to learn the language... because unfortunately I don't speak english very well, but this is one of my first goals!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both grow up in a little town surrounded by fields and farms so, even if we're not real farmers, this environment isn't new for us and we could help in manual jobs.
We also worked in touch with customers, so we kinda know how to handle this kind of situations and how to make the customers feel comfortable.
Rebecca does really know how to talk to the children and everybody can see how much she loves them, Riccardo is very patient and kind, so he doesn't have any problem with the children as well.
Lately we worked in a prestigious restaurant, Riccardo as a dishwasher and Rebecca as a waitress. We also worked in general maintenance and outdoor stuff, like cutting the wood, cleaning the garden ecc...
Finally, we're both Italian and we cook for ourself everyday, so we could surely cook some Italian traditional dishes for everybody!

Was noch ...

After our first two workaway experiences we fell in love with this way to travel! We saw the ocean for the first time in Algarve and it was wonderful, we met a lot of amazing people and we lived different cultures and languages. That's why we're getting more and more excited about travels :)
