I am interested in self-sufficiency, self-sufficient communes, farming, ecovillages.. Traveling by car with my dog.

Hi,

I'm 41 year old lady from Finland. I am a professional upholsterer and also a shoemaker. Currently I’m studying fine arts, mainly sculpture, graduating in 2026. At the moment, I am living in Macerata wishing to explore fascinating Italy besides my studies here .
I'm handy in many sorts of practical works and enjoy it a lot also.I've done, for example, renovations of apartments, boats and cars, constructional work, building, fixing, surface treatment and and of course furniture repairs. I'm physically quite strong and in pretty good shape too. So, tools and, for example, a shovel or a saw will hold in my hands for sure. 
I've tried to practice Italian, but I'm still at a very basic level. I am very interested in the possibility of hearing and learning the language, even though I may not yet able to form very meaningful sentences by my own mouth. :) My English is fluent, although it has got a bit rusty, since I’ve not been talking that much past few years.

My dream for the future is to live in countryside, learn self-sufficiency and skills to manage with as little consumption and commercialism as possible. I don't really know how to grow or cultivate anything, but I would really like to learn and help in everything needed! I love nature and animals and meeting new people, listening to different stories, even though I am quite an introverted person. It would be a dream come true to live in a small, old and modest house somewhere, someday. With chickens and hopefully other animals, to tinker with my own vegetable garden and, the most beautiful of all, would be getting involved with a functioning commune / community where people could share knowledge, goods and empathetic and friendly company. These are the things I try to travel towards in my life and meanwhile enjoying all new experiences. 

While in Italy, I would like to explore various nature and art sites. I have a few interesting sites on my list in the provinces of Pisa, Siena and Crosseto (including “The Tarot Garden”, “Sacro Bosco”, “Parco Sculture del Chianti”, “Dream Woods” etc.). I would also like to visit nature parks, forests and mountains.

The dates for volunteering might be 19.-25.4. / 18.-24.4., since I would like to save couple of days of my easter vacation to explore some cultural sites.

NOTE! I have a dog traveling with me. Pulina is a very sensitive, silent, kind and calm shepherd dog, who is a bit afraid of people and other animal because of her rough bag round. She is rather observing from distance than getting in anybody’s way. 
We are traveling by car, so I also have a driver's license if necessary!
