I'm lmostly interested in outdoor activities such as farmwork, gardening and construction, but also in home improvement and carpentry. For leisure I like to do cycling, hiking and making music.

Beschreibung

Hi, my name is Paul and I'm an easy going guy who was raised in the countryside but has lived in Amsterdam almost his entire adult life.

Living in the city has always suited me well but the last couple of years I feel a strong urge to get away from the hassle and agitation of being with so many people in a small spot and would very much like to move to the countryside and enjoy the outdoor life. I would love to experience the fullness of the seasons, relive my experiences with the animals of my youth, in general live more in touch with nature. Live off the land, self sufficiency, that kind of stuff.

With the current prices of farms and houses in the countryside in my country I am looking abroad for a place to settle down. To make a well thought-out decision I would very much like to have a taste of the kind of life I am looking for in the locations that attract me the most, which are Portugal and Denmark.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a pretty much allround practical person so when it comes to doing all sorts of things that don't require too specific knowledge I'm your man.

I garduated in developmental psychology in my twenties but never had the urge to have a career in that field so I mainly worked shortterm jobs in different areas such as doing general services in law firms, being a postman, having my own bicycle taxi company for years and for the last year and a half been working as a bicycle-mechanic.

I can do basic carpentry, painting and work with tools, also know my way around the garden and have a fair amount of looking after animals such as dogs, goats, sheep and all kinds of poultry. I'm a quick learner, I don't need to be told more than once how to do a certain task.

I enjoy working in general, it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I'm quite conscientious and want to deliver a good job.

But there is more to life than work, so I do have my share of hobbies which include cycling (trips on my mountainbike, I also made a few big cycling trips around Europe), playing the guitar and learning to play the piano.

Furthermore, although I'm a social person, I also need some time of my own each day in which I play music, read a book or watch a film.
