Hi! My name is Precious(although I'd prefer being called Yvonne) and I recently finished college and decided to take a gap year. My home place is a small island called Guernsey, where everything is just a walk away. I love exploring the island by foot, taking in the beauty of my surroundings, the fresh air, and nature in general especially during sunrise—my favourite time of day. I enjoy listening to music often accompanies me on these walks.

During my gap year, I'm eager to learn and grow, having already gained valuable experience interning at a local company and working as a Café assistant right by the sea. The café offered stunning views of nearby islands and sunrises, which made early mornings something I look forward to! Often, during the summer we get a lot of cruise ships visiting us hence why I am used to working on a fast-paced environment with the rush of customers coming in which I enjoy.

I sometimes go on fishing trips with my mum and her friends, especially when the weather is perfect. I'm always up for a challenge, whether it's learning something new or tackling a tough task, and I'm more than happy to lend a hand whenever needed. Additionally, I am a well travelled individual, having had the privelege of visiting multiple countries before and would love to continue doing so.

Having lived in different places, learning a new language isn't new to me therefore I am very much open to learning a few more. I also do not mind teaching one myself, either Tagalog or English(I can probably do with practising my Spanish language skills too!)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have practical experience in hospitality, having worked in a café where I was responsible for tasks like taking orders, customer service, food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Having this role enhanced my communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Additionally, I’ve completed an internship at an accounting firm, where I gained exposure to administrative tasks, basic bookkeeping, and data management. This experience enhanced my organizational skills also and gave me insight into business operations.

On the language side, I am fluent in English and Filipino, and have a beginner's level of Spanish. I enjoy language learning and would be happy to help others with English or Filipino, while also learning another language myself.

Was noch ...

Living on a small island, it is pretty easy to access places; therefore, I enjoy walks a lot and just being out in nature as much as I can. I am also quite interested in photography, taking pictures, be it of landscapes or food.
