Hello beautiful people! 🌿

My name is Olaf, and I would describe myself as an optimistic soul, a creative spirit, a hands-on problem solver and a passionate explorer of life!

I believe that life is a wonderful journey of learning, sharing, creating and growing together. I love meeting people from different cultures, exchanging experiences and contributing my energy, creativity and practical skills to meaningful projects.

Music, movement and conscious living are important parts of my life. I'm a musician, working with voice, guitar, didgeridoo, percussion, crystal singing bowls and gongs. I love creating sound journeys, cacao ceremonies and experiences that combine music, movement, meditation and human connection.

In Switzerland, I ran a private therapeutic swimming facility, where I organised events combining aquatic bodywork, movement, music, dance and voice-opening practices. I also practise Vinyasa Yoga, Laugh Yoga, meditation, contact improvisation and contemporary dance.

I'm fascinated by the power of communication and the way our words shape our reality. My motto is: Words have power — let's use them to inspire, connect and uplift each other!

Languages are another passion of mine. Polish is my mother language, and I also speak English, German and French fluently.

I love working with my hands and creating beautiful, functional spaces.

I spent a year working alongside a German wood artist in Bavaria, creating unique, customised furniture combining wood, glass and crystals.

Over the years, I've gained plenty of practical experience in renovation, painting, basic plumbing, wooden constructions, building and repairing structures, creative installations and garden maintenance.

I'm also a big fan of van life! I designed and built the interior of my own camper van, including the practical installations and creative details. I enjoy finding simple, resourceful solutions and giving new life to old materials.

Hospitality, cooking and caring for others are also close to my heart.

I've worked in different areas of gastronomy, from relaxed everyday hospitality to five-star service, large banquets and elegant flying dinners. I genuinely enjoy preparing delicious food, sharing meals and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

I love animals, enjoy spending time with children and have experience with babysitting and pet care.

I've also supported many conscious gatherings and festivals, including Pacha Mama Festival and Music for Life Festival in Switzerland, as well as various yoga festivals. My roles ranged from practical helping hands to supporting the atmosphere and well-being of participants — sometimes described as being a Spirit Keeper.

Earlier in my professional journey, I also worked in international sales, distributing Swiss cosmeceutical products in Poland and Norway. These experiences strengthened my organisational skills, adaptability and love of connecting with people.

And now, a new chapter begins! ☘️

I've recently arrived in Ireland, following my dream of a more nomadic, nature-connected and meaningful way of living.

I'm excited to discover the beauty of Irish landscapes, traditions, music and culture, while meeting inspiring people and contributing to projects that make a positive difference.

I'm also preparing to launch my own podcast, Radio OptyMystic — New Radio with Vision, dedicated to optimism, conscious living, creativity, inspiring conversations and human connection.

I'm equally happy helping in the garden, building something with wood, painting a room, cooking a beautiful meal, looking after animals or sharing music around a fire.

I value honesty, kindness, mutual respect, open communication and a healthy balance between working together and respecting personal space.

For me, Workaway is much more than exchanging work for accommodation. It's an opportunity to create genuine human connections, learn from each other and leave every place a little more beautiful than I found it.

Languages are one of my greatest passions! 🌍 I speak four languages fluently: Polish (my mother tongue), English, German and French. I love how each language opens a new window into different cultures, ways of thinking and human connections. I'm particularly fascinated by conscious communication and the power of words. I believe language is much more than exchanging information — it's about understanding each other, building bridges and connecting heart to heart. I'm currently starting to learn Spanish! 🇪🇸 I'm excited to discover this beautiful language and would love to practise with native speakers or fellow learners along the way. I'm also very happy to share my knowledge of Polish, German, English or French through friendly conversations, informal lessons and everyday activities. I believe one of the most enjoyable ways to learn a language is naturally — while cooking together, working in the garden, sharing music, exploring nature or simply enjoying a good conversation. For me, every language is a new doorway to the world, and every conversation is an opportunity to grow! 🌱

I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I enjoy seeing the tangible results of a day's work. Whether it's repairing something, improving a garden, preparing food, helping with guests or contributing creatively to a retreat, I bring commitment, initiative and good energy.

I'm also very happy to learn new skills from experienced hosts and exchange knowledge along the way.

My philosophy is simple: contribute with enthusiasm, work with care, share knowledge generously and always leave something positive behind!

A little more about me... 🌞

I'm someone who finds happiness in the simple things in life — a beautiful sunrise, a walk through the forest, a meaningful conversation, spontaneous laughter or a cosy evening around a fire.

I love exploring new places off the beaten track, discovering hidden natural treasures, local traditions and the little stories that make every place unique.

I'm naturally curious and enjoy learning about different ways of living, especially those that bring us closer to nature, simplicity and a more sustainable lifestyle.

I enjoy both lively social moments and peaceful silence. A good philosophical conversation over a cup of tea can be just as wonderful as sharing laughter, music or a spontaneous adventure.

I appreciate humour, authenticity and people who don't take themselves too seriously. I believe that even ordinary daily activities can become enjoyable when approached with creativity and a positive attitude.

At the same time, I value personal independence and respect other people's privacy, routines and need for quiet time. I'm comfortable sharing a home and contributing to a harmonious living environment.

I'm not looking for luxury or perfection. I appreciate simplicity, genuine hospitality and the opportunity to experience everyday life as it is.

And one more thing: I believe that the most beautiful experiences often happen when we let go of expectations and remain open to the unexpected.

After all, life is not just about the places we visit, but about the people we meet and the moments we create together.
