Hello! We are Nyxia (Samuel) and Bennu (Katlyn).

We are a couple traveling the world to follow our dreams. This is our first time using Workaway, but we have experience living and working in community spaces, and we always give our best.
🌱 Our Journey So Far:

In March 2024, we packed our car and moved to the California desert with only what we could carry. We lived at a hostel for six months, where we met travelers, hiked, and learned to climb.

Now we are starting our Workaway journey in Hawaii to learn new skills and prepare for our dream: to build a boat, learn traditional navigation, and sail around the world. On our journey, we want to help others, learn from different cultures, and create a space for art, music, and dreamers.
🌍 Our Values:

We are passionate about community, art, nature, and healing. We want to live in harmony with the earth and give back wherever we go.

We are from the United States and understand that we still have much to learn about how to grow beyond the systems of capitalism and colonization we were raised in. We are open to reflection, change, and deepening our understanding.

We are also both vegan (plant-based), but we respect how others eat. We love language exchange and are learning Hawaiian—and are working to learn Japanese, too!
✨ About Us:

We are artists, writers, creators, and always curious learners.

Nyxia is writing books, poetry, and we are creating a game like Dungeons & Dragons. They are also learning design and video editing. Nyxia brings laughter and creativity to any space and loves working outdoors with music and dancing.

Bennu is a writer, editor, and advisor. They are working on a vegan cookbook and enjoy helping people grow their ideas. Bennu is full of warmth and always ready to help others feel safe, supported, and inspired.

Was noch ...

We have a Pi Sho board and would LOVE to teach others to play.
Nyxia enjoys playing Magick the Gathering (MTG) on occasion and will have their commander deck with them.
We also would love to run our TTRPG (similar to Dungeons and Dragons) if we have enough people interested - it takes 4 or 5 people other than us to play.

We spend our free time in discussion, sharing and developing ideas, and writing usually - and sometimes we hunker down and watch some anime or read books. We do prefer to listen to music while we cook and are open to most music. Overall, we prefer to be out exploring nature.
