Kia Ora!

Nice to meet you ;)
We are a French couple on a path to discover the world together.
Geoffrey and I ( Noah) met while doing a Work Holiday visa in Australia and have been traveling together since then ! After Japan, Guadeloupe and Thailand our journey now brings us to New Zealand. It's a dream come true and we can't wait to spend a year working and exploring, learning about the culture and immersing ourself in New Zealand's majestic landscapes !

I previously shared this account with my brother Chann and we had a great experience doing a workaway in Melbourne together and as for Geoffrey he use to be doing HelpX but chose to switch sides and come on board with me on Workaway !

We both love learning new languages, being able to crack the code and boom suddenly a new world opens to you, you get to make new friends and dive deeper than you ever could otherwise in a all new culture. Even just a few words, a few sentences can sometimes make a huge difference while traveling!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Geoffrey's skills:

- Cooking : I've been in the kitchen since I'm a kid, always liked helping my parents baking and preparing meals. I still feel I could improve as a chef but I make for a great kitchen hand for sure!

-Construction: During my stay in Australia I have worked in the construction business including painting, working site cleaning, building terraces, fences and concrete structures.

-Garden: I worked at a Helpx doing weeding, carrying garden items and cleaning up a large space to create a vegetable garden.

-Caring for animals: As a kid we were not allowed to have large animals at home but we had a pet mouse and rabbit I adored. I otherwise love farm animal especially horses.

-Law Studies: I use to study law in France.

Noah's Skills:

Gardening\Housekeeping\Around the house work: I use to help with our Airbnb family business. My parents always liked to get everything done themselves so I learned from early on to help with whatever was needed: cleaning the rentals, building a deck around the swimming pool, weeding, cutting down trees, digging holes in the garden, painting the cottages anew, cleaning the roof and so on. Hard work doesn't scare me as long as it is explained thoroughly and I am fast at learning new skills.

Teaching and taking care of kids: Because of our 4 years age gap with my younger brother Chann, growing up I was often in charge of him as well as my younger cousins. During my University years I've work as a nanny as well as a private teacher. Love playing with kids and accompany them on their adventure to discover the word!

Animal keeper: We had dogs, chickens and cats at the house so I love animals. Over more I have experience with horses, I worked as a volunteer in a western style equestrian center in the south of France.

Cooking: I love to cook and bake, I particularly love Asian cuisine but I also cook French and Caribbean meals.

Photographer: Before embarking for this journey I worked as a freelance portrait, family and fashion photographer. I can do shootings and edit pictures on Photoshop and Lightroom.

Cinema: I originally studied Cinema (cinema critic, directing and script writing) and Photography for over 4 years in Paris.

I'm otherwise pretty organized, focus and a good listener although I tend to talk a lot too and write even more (sorry ;)

Was noch ...

Noah:
I love to play badminton, snorkeling, going on hikes, play chess (although I'm very bad at it still a lot of fun), draw on occasions, do animal photography and photoshoots. I am starting yoga, meditation! But most of all I love writing.

Geoffrey:
I am interested in sports and I especially follow NFL, NBA, soccer and football. I also use to play football then tennis, American football as well as table tennis and ski. Otherwise I am always interested in discovering new sports!
I've always wanted to play an instrument and especially violon (for some reason XD) so I hope I will get to start that project at one point.
