Hi, I’m Nina, I’m 31 years old and I work as a fully qualified teacher for English and Philosophy in Germany. I’ve been teaching for several years now, mostly working with students between the ages of 11 and 20.

I actually used Workaway years ago when I was around 24 or 25 and had some really great experiences. I spent a month at a hostel in Tel Aviv, another month at a hostel in Sri Lanka, and I also lived on a farm in England for a while, mainly taking care of sheep and bottle-feeding the lambs. Before that, I also spent half a year in the U.S. on a scholarship. All of these experiences were incredibly enriching, but after finishing university I needed some time to settle into working life.

Now that I’ve found my rhythm, I’d love to use Workaway again – this time mainly to connect with people who are also into climbing, which has become my biggest passion and main way of spending my free time. I’ve been bouldering for about four and a half years and climbing for three and a half years. I’ve completed two belaying courses, so I’m qualified to belay in both top rope and lead climbing.

Ideally, I’d love to discover new areas and climbing spots, spend time outdoors, and meet open-minded, kind people along the way.

Was noch ...

At the moment, I actually spend almost all of my free time bouldering or climbing. I’ve been bouldering for about four and a half years and climbing for three and a half years. I’ve completed two different belaying courses, which means I’m qualified to belay both top rope and lead climbs. That’s also one of the main reasons why I decided to sign up for Workaway again, after already using it for a year or two during my studies – I simply want to climb as much as possible, ideally in new areas and regions I haven’t explored yet. And what I especially enjoy is meeting nice people along the way.
