We are interested in learning from family that live in nature and work with it in a mindful way. There are so much knowledge to share !

Beschreibung

Ciao, Bonjour and Hola! We are a couple of Nature enthusiasts: Sofia (29), an Italian-Spanish from Torino, and Romain (27), a French from Morocco. After 4 years in a hospital laboratory, for Sofia, and a PhD in Experimental Space Physics, for Romain, we decided to dedicate 2026 to gaining experience on farms to learn all about permaculture, sustainable living and authentic ways of connecting with nature.
We both crave for adventures and learning from the wisest. We both are hikers, crafters, readers and players of boardgames! While Sofia is the artist, and Romain the technician, we both have received a scientific education which allows us to curiously and critically approach life and its gifts. We dream of one day living sustainably in an old house surrounded by nature together with our family and dearest friends. On our adventures around the world, we hope to meet families who have made this dream come true!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Sofia: I have experience with animals and work outdoors with them (I'm studying to become a veterinary technician and have already completed 400 hours in a surgical clinic). I've been volunteering at animal shelters for 10 years, so I have experience cleaning cages, pens, and enclosures, and organizing fundraising events. I know how to properly follow instructions for feeding and administering medications. I'm a quick learner and very adaptable. I have experience managing visitors and hosting. I worked for 8 months in Sweden in a guesthouse with 4 cabins for tourists. I lived alone for many years, so I know how to keep a house tidy and clean. During my university studies, I worked as a babysitter. I can draw, paint, use Instagram to advertise activities, and practice yoga (I'm not a teacher, but I've been practicing yoga for 8 years). I'm practically always smiling :)

Romain: Thanks to my Master's in Engineering and my PhD in Physics, I've been trained to solve complex, practical, abstract tasks independently and rigorously. I have theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics, automation, and mechanics. I've built drones, robots, and anything that requires a bit of soldering and tinkering. I know how to use a variety of CAD software and 3D printers. I'm good at math and programming (any high-level programming language) on any operating system. During my studies, I taught from high school to master's level and often worked alongside others. I value the exchange of knowledge, both by sharing my own and learning from others, and I firmly oppose inequalities that limit an individual's ability to express and contribute their ideas. Beyond STEM subjects, I know how to climb trees (with ropes, ascenders, grapples, etc.) and prune them at any altitude. I love plants and have learned to care for them and be wary of pests. I love cooking (Italian, French, Moroccan, etc.) and learning new recipes! I know how to make sourdough bread and take care of my yeast. I love nature and getting my hands dirty.
