Beschreibung

Hey, I’m Niels from Switzerland, with Dutch roots. I’m an open-minded, curious, and easygoing person who enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds and learning from new experiences.

Over the past years, I worked in a Swiss asylum center, supporting people from all over the world. I especially enjoyed organizing activities for children and creating positive moments in difficult situations. This experience taught me a lot about empathy, patience, and human connection.

I love traveling, nature, sports, music, and meaningful conversations. I spent the last half year traveling and realized that my journey became more about going inward than outward. Meditation has become a important part of my life, helping me stay grounded and open.

At the moment, I’m still exploring where life will take me next. I enjoy trying new things, learning practical skills and expanding my horizon through new people, places, and experiences.

I’m looking forward to meeting inspiring people, contributing wherever I can, and continuing to grow along the way:)

I'm always interested in learning new languages and love the cultural exchange that comes with it. I also have experience teaching: during my time working at an asylum centre, I gave daily German classes to adults. I’d be happy to help others learn or improve their German or Dutch (both my native languages), and I also enjoy practicing and supporting others in English.

Skills & Experience

I’m a friendly, responsible and open-minded person with a wide range of experience and interests. Here are some of my key skills:

Childcare & Intercultural Work: I worked for 2.5 years in an asylum centre as a caregiver and activity coordinator. I organized many programs for children and really enjoy working with kids. This experience also gave me deep insight into different cultures and religions.

Languages: I speak German (native), English (fluent) and Dutch (intermediate).

Office & Administrative Experience: I have experience in the commercial sector, including working in the marketing department of Swiss Airlines. I'm comfortable with administrative tasks and structured work environments.

Sports & Outdoor Activities: I’m very active – I enjoy football, swimming, surfing, skiing, calisthenics, and hiking in the Swiss mountains.

Animal Lover: I love animals and have a dog at home. I’m happy to help with pet care.

Cooking: I enjoy cooking and can help prepare meals.

Holistic Practices: I’ve completed a Reiki Level 1 course and have an interest in energy work and well-being.

I’m happy to learn new things, support wherever help is needed, and look forward to meaningful cultural exchange and connection.
