Beschreibung

Hello!
My name is Nele, this year I decided it was time for a new adventure and to quit my job so that I can travel.

I have worked in a refugee center for 2,5 years. This was such a rewarding job, and I got in touch with a lot of different cultures and their habits and customs. The interactions I've had, have put my own culture and behavior in so much perspective. This need for perspective also sums up why I'm traveling. It can be such a small world when you never get out of your comfort zone. To me it's really important to keep on growing as a person and to keep learning new things!

In my free time I love doing sports (yoga, boulder indoors, hiking), I sew, I take classes in Spanish, I work in my garden and I love to read. I might sound as a busy bee, but I do enjoy calm environments over noisy ones. I like to be able to take my time to enjoy the activities I partake in.

In my work I take pleasure out of many tasks. I love working with my hands, for example gardening, but also enjoy mental tasks such as administration or planning.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked in social work, so I am experienced in providing humanitarian aid. I was an administrative worker in the medical service of a refugee center and was the first person who residents could turn to regarding questions about their medical appointments etc. I have also given workshops around basic health in the center (vaccinations, menstrual health,...).

I have a small garden, but have yet to learn a lot about so many things. I have been growing some veggies , and know how to harvest, but am not an expert gardener.

I can do some basic sewing, mostly on the sewing machine, but if needed also by hand (although my stitches are far from perfect).

I enjoy taking care of animals, but again am no expert. I have two cats, whom I've trained a bit and really enjoy learning about how animals communicate with humans. I have taken care of some animal farms in the past, such as feeding, cleaning the enclosure, partaking in shaving sheep and collecting eggs.

Further skills are housekeeping, cooking and organising.
