We are Mariano Monti (33) and Selin Stoll (30), a multicultural couple from Switzerland and Argentina. We share a passion for working in the social sector, a deep love for nature, and an insatiable curiosity for other cultures, people, and the mysteries of this world.
After completing our studies in July 2024, we will be back on the road. Having already explored numerous countries, our desire to discover new corners of the globe continues to grow.
One way we have always immersed ourselves in different cultures and ways of life is through volunteering. While we have no prior experience with Workaway, we have been actively involved in volunteering in other contexts. In the cultural sector, we organized concerts and supported bands. On a farm, we helped with renovation projects, built fences and a stable, and worked on maintaining the infrastructure.

Somos Mariano Monti (33) y Selin Stoll (30), una pareja multicultural de Suiza y Argentina. Compartimos una pasión por trabajar en el ámbito social, un profundo amor por la naturaleza y una insaciable curiosidad por otras culturas, personas y los misterios de este mundo.

Después de finalizar nuestros estudios en julio de 2024, volveremos a emprender el camino. Tras haber explorado numerosos países, nuestro deseo de descubrir nuevos rincones del mundo sigue creciendo.

Una de las formas en las que siempre nos hemos sumergido en diferentes culturas y formas de vida ha sido a través del voluntariado. Aunque no tenemos experiencia previa con Workaway, hemos participado activamente como voluntarios en otros contextos. En el ámbito cultural, organizamos conciertos y apoyamos a bandas. En una granja, ayudamos en proyectos de renovación, construimos cercos y un establo, y trabajamos en el mantenimiento de la infraestructura.

We both work in the social sector. Mariano is a trained social educator with extensive experience working with children. Selin is an economist by training and has also studied social work, helping people in difficult situations find employment.

In our free time, we’ve worked a lot with animals, helped with renovation projects, and have been actively involved in cultural activities. Good communication and harmonious living are very important to us. Adaptability is one of our greatest strengths—we thrive in dynamic environments and handle stressful situations well. We enjoy improvising, gaining new experiences, and aren’t afraid to roll up our sleeves.

We are native speakers of Spanish and German and love sharing our languages and cultures with others.

Our strengths lie in working with people (in challenging life situations, children, adults, and youth), animals (experience with horses, cats, and dogs), gardening, and renovation work.

Ambos trabajamos en el ámbito social. Mariano es educador social con mucha experiencia trabajando con niños. Selin es economista de formación y también ha estudiado trabajo social, ayudando a personas en situaciones difíciles a encontrar empleo.

En nuestro tiempo libre, hemos trabajado mucho con animales, ayudado en proyectos de renovación y participado activamente en actividades culturales. Para nosotros, una buena comunicación y una convivencia armoniosa son muy importantes. La adaptabilidad es una de nuestras mayores fortalezas: nos desenvolvemos bien en entornos dinámicos y manejamos con calma las situaciones estresantes. Nos gusta improvisar, vivir nuevas experiencias y no dudamos en poner manos a la obra.

Hablamos español y alemán como lenguas maternas y disfrutamos compartiendo nuestras culturas e idiomas con los demás.

Nuestras fortalezas incluyen el trabajo con personas (en situaciones de vida difíciles, niños, adultos y jóvenes), el cuidado de animales (con experiencia en caballos, gatos y perros), la jardinería y los trabajos de renovación.
