I am an artist who is passionate about nature, reading, sea swimming and learning new cultures! I am half Lebanese but never learned the language, I would really love to speak this language!

Beschreibung

Hiya! I'm Nadia I'm half Irish/Lebanese living in Ireland. I am an artist who loves nature, the outdoors, yoga and reading. I love working with people creatively and working collaboratively. I have three years experience volunteering with non-profit organisations. Please see photos for some of these collaborative projects. I have spent some time in Lebanon, Venice, Belgium and Ireland. But, it has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to spend time in the Scandinavian countries. Particularly Iceland! I have a fascination with the old language, poetry and mythology, and would love to learn modern Icelandic too!

Growing up, I helped my parents with a few chickens and sheep. I then worked in food and hospitality, am a trained barista, barwomen and waitress. I worked in the public sector for three years in arts, cultural and family centres.

I finally wanted to join workaway as I love cultural exchange and community. I really like rural lifestyles, I would like to learn how to live a more sustainable life in how we consume food, land and architecture. I am a fast learner and always open to learning new skills and sharing the ones I have.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I worked in waitressing and front of house reception work for over six years. I am a fully trained barista, front of house supervisor, barwomen, and cleaning. My expertise is community work, bringing services to displaced people of migrant and diverse backgrounds particularly asylum seekers. My passion is art, creating art myself, collaboratively and working in a commercial/managerial environment.
