hello everyone :)
something about me:
My name is Maurine. I am an open, communicative, brave and cheerful person. Also I am very active and close to nature. That's the reason why I love it to be outside for example while longboarding, snowboarding, kitesurfing, canoeing oder hiking. I am often doing Yoga and workouts. I think it's always great to share time together and so I often share my time with my closest friends.
Anyway, I love it to travel! I enjoy all the aspects of being on a journey. For example to get in touch with new cultures, make new friends and collecting life experiences. But it's also important for me to see and learn useful skills while I am traveling and to be independent. The time on journeys was always a very active, nature closing but also relaxing and instructive time for me. So I was already often with my family in Denmark or at the Baltic Sea, where we checked out the area the most time with the bikes. Also I made experiences as a supervisor in holiday camps for five times. Once I took part at a wilderness week in Sweden, where we hiked and did canoeing. Aswell I collected travel experiences on a two week roadtrip in Croatia with my best friend, which was very eventful.
2 years ago I made work and travel for one year in italy. For me it was a wonderful time with so many new experiences. In this time I used already workaway and it was a big upgrade for my journey! Workaway is one of the reasons why I want to travel again, this time to milan.
my skills and competences:
I am an educator. In the job as a caseworker I made already much experiences with the work with children. For example also through the work as a supervisor in holiday camps or through my sidejob during my apprenticeship. There I cared weekly for children with behavioral problems, different clinical pictures and disorders. Also I worked while my apprenticeship as a waitress and so I got experiences in gastronomy.
Why I am at workaway:
I´d like to collect some more travel experiences and so I decided to make work and travel again. This time in milan. So herefor workaway is perfect. I am very excited for this journey and I am ready to collect new experiences. I am looking forward to meet new people and just have a wonderful time!

I've made an apprenticeship for a state recognized educator and got the diploma for it. I learned and experienced with the working life, because I worked in my job as a caseworker. I took part of a further education which was about children with behavioral problems. Through my volunteer jobs as a supervisor in holiday camps I collected also a lot of experiences with the work with children. For example I learned kids how to snowboard in a holiday camp in austria or led an outdoorcamp once. Also I collected many experiences as I worked while my apprenticeship with children who had behavioral problems, different clinical pictures and disorders like autism or ADHD.
Also I had other sidejobs while my apprenticeship. So I worked as a waitress in an american restaurant for three years. There I trained my resilience, endurance and communicative skills. But I learned also the tasks of a restaurant specialist like the serving of dishes and drinks, the take-In of dishes from orders and the paying of dishes in front of the guest.
I learned also to use my hands through the tree and garden care family buisness. So I help as often as I can. This work includes the helping at tree fellings, cut the lawn or hedge trimming. Because of this my family and me work a lot with wood and so I am able to chop wood or to operate with a wood splitter.
