Hey there, nice that you came across my profile!
My name is Milena and I am currently traveling Mexico. I am an open person who is always looking for honest connections and friendships with new people. I am also an unobtrusive person who senses the moods of others and likes to take care of everyone. I enjoy spending time with other people, but every now and then I also appreciate having time for myself. Since I have been in Mexico for some time now, I am familiar with the country and know how most things work and speak the language.

I have been in Mexico since August. I spent the last 5 months in Aguascalientes for a semester abroad. I fell in love with Mexico in this rather quiet and less touristy region. After my semester abroad ended at the end of the semester, I initially spent 2.5 weeks traveling with my parents to show them this wonderful country. I am now traveling alone again and looking for a place where I feel comfortable and can get into a little routine. I like getting to know an environment and its inhabitants better, even if it's away from the very touristy places.

My visa for Mexico is still valid until 28 January and until then I have time and no problem with spending this time in one place, as long as I like the place and feel comfortable.

In my free time I like to explore new places, read books, I love to cook and I like to go for a walk with a good podcast on my ears wherever I feel like going. The best thing for me is to find a tasty café and a nice place to linger for a while at my destination. I like animals and living with them. I also enjoy spending time in nature and I like to look after the garden as a balance, because it gives me peace and quiet.
My goal would be to find some peace and quiet in addition to my workaway job. As I am in the final stages of my studies, I am also working on my doctoral thesis. I have already completed the laboratory part of this thesis and am currently analysing some data and writing and interpreting the results. It would be great if I had a good internet connection at my host so that I can work on my laptop. This is my first workaway stay and I am happy if someone gives me the chance to enrich the team and make new friends.

Mi nombre es Milena y actualmente estoy viajando por México. Soy una persona abierta que siempre está buscando conexiones honestas y amistades con gente nueva. También soy una persona discreta que percibe los estados de ánimo de los demás y le gusta cuidar de todos. Me gusta pasar tiempo con otras personas, pero de vez en cuando también aprecio tener tiempo para mí. Ya que he estado en México por algún tiempo, estoy familiarizada con el país y sé cómo funcionan la mayoría de las cosas y hablo el idioma.

Estoy en México desde agosto. Pasé los últimos 5 meses en Aguascalientes para un semestre en el extranjero. Me enamoré de México en esta región más bien tranquila y menos turística. Después de terminar mi semestre en el extranjero al final del semestre, inicialmente pasé 2,5 semanas viajando con mis padres para mostrarles este maravilloso país. Ahora vuelvo a viajar sola y busco un lugar en el que me sienta cómoda y pueda coger un poco de rutina. Me gusta conocer mejor un entorno y a sus habitantes, aunque sea lejos de los lugares muy turísticos.

Mi visa para México aún es válida hasta el 28 de enero y hasta entonces tengo tiempo y no tengo problema en pasar este tiempo en un solo lugar, siempre y cuando me guste el lugar y me sienta cómoda.

En mi tiempo libre me gusta explorar nuevos lugares, leer libros, cocinar y salir a caminar a donde se me antoje con un buen podcast en los oídos. Lo mejor para mí es encontrar un café delicioso y un lugar agradable donde quedarme un rato. Me gustan los animales y convivir con ellos. También disfruto pasando tiempo en la naturaleza y me gusta cuidar del jardín como equilibrio, porque me da paz y tranquilidad.

Mi objetivo sería encontrar un poco de paz y tranquilidad además de mi trabajo en el extranjero. Como estoy en la fase final de mis estudios, también estoy trabajando en mi tesis doctoral. Ya he completado la parte de laboratorio de esta tesis y actualmente estoy analizando algunos de los datos y escribiendo e interpretando los resultados. Sería estupendo que mi anfitrión dispusiera de una buena conexión a Internet para poder trabajar con mi portátil. Esta es mi primera estancia de trabajo y estoy encantado de que alguien me dé la oportunidad de enriquecer el equipo y hacer nuevos amigos.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Insgesamt bin ich eine sehr anpassungsfähige, offene und ehrliche Person, die sowohl im Team als auch selbstständig und alleine arbeiten kann. Zudem schätze ich eine gute Art der Kommunikation und versuche konstruktive Kritik umzusetzen. Ich mag es mitzuhelfen und anzupacken. Außerdem bin ich extrem verantwortungsbewusst und erledige meine Aufgaben gewissenhaft.

Da ich bereits von 2017 bis 2018 eine 1-jährige Reise um die Welt (Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australien, Neuseeland, Fidschi, USA, Mexiko, Peru, Bolivien) gemacht habe, fällt es mir leicht mich an neue Situationen anzupassen. Meine Fähigkeiten würde ich als breit gefächert beschreiben: Seit 4,5 Jahren studiere ich in Deutschland Medizin und habe dementsprechend medizinische und pflegerische Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten. Außerdem bin ich angespannte Situationen gewohnt und behalte für einen kühlen Kopf.
Vor meinem Studium habe ich bereits Erfahrungen gesammelt in Gastronomie, Arbeit mit Kindern, Arbeiten im Haushalt, durch den großen Garten meines Opas den ich einige Jahre bepflanzt habe, it auch Gartenarbeit kein Problem für mich. Auch leichte Handwerks-Arbeiten kann ich durchführen und falls ich noch keine Erfahrung damit habe freue ich mich etwas nach einer kleinen Einführung neu zu erlernen. Ich habe kein Problem mit körperlicher Arbeit und denke dass ich über ordentlich Kraft verfüge diese auszuführen. Während meiner einjährigen Reise habe ich bereits in Hostels gearbeitet und habe darum Erfahrung mit Housekeeping (auch Reinigung von Toiletten), Check-ins/ Check-outs, und allgemeine Instandhaltung, sowie Kommunikation mit Gästen.
