Hello,
We are Tom and Milli. We are 25 years old and even if we have only been a couple for over 6 six years, we know each other for much longer. Right now we live in Berlin to work and study. Tom is working for the German Railway Association in maintenance and is finishing his Electrical Engineering Studies in September 2025. Milli studied Social Work and has a lot of experience in working with kids and people with disabilities.
Growing up near the Baltic Sea we lived in the countryside. That is why we already know a bit about house gardening, planting vegetables, caring for animals and things like that. Our handyman skills are passable but we are quick and eager to learn new skills. We both have worked in manual labour jobs before and know that sometimes endurance is necessary.
In our freetime and vacations we are looking for a balance between adventure, relaxing and learning new things. We love to spend time with our families or friends. Sailing, swimming and kite surfing are our favourite outdoor activities in summer.
We would love to help out at a farm, learn a lot of new things and meet new people! With the experience of Workaway we hope to get a true picture of your culture.

About Tom: I am a trained electrician. Growing up my father and grandfather taught me some helpful skills around the house. Those ranged from painting walls, over simple woodwork to basic plumping. Help in the garden was also mandatory for me in my childhood. Most I like coming up with creative solutions for unusual problems. Growing up near a farm I did some holiday work on the field and in the cow stable.
About Milli: Thanks to different jobs and the education of my parents I learned a lot about repairing and fixing small things in the house or around the garden. With a lot of experience in volunteer work with children and my job as a Social Worker I have lots of social skills. Some of my hobbies are hand lettering and sewing, so I am also kind of creative. My family always had pets and chickens, so I know much about caring for them. As a girl I started with riding lessons and a few years ago I did volunteer work at a farm with horses, that is why I have basic skills in caring for them as well.
